Not a whole lot to say here other than Pinkie can use her tail to incredible levels.  Spike feels un-needed seeing that his 'job' around the house can be so easily replaced.  Twilight of course didn't mean for this to hurt Spike's ego, it was to help Pinkie Pie and let Spike have a break, but Spike doesn't know that.  It isn't all that deep though, this wasn't meant to go anywhere.  More of a one-off joke.  But I think we will touch it again when we close up Pinkie's arc.

I love comics like this. It definitely adds more to the world to see these interactions and how others choices impact others whether intended or not. Plus I’ll always stick up for spike!

Plus spike is definitely growing up!! Sniff… instead of looking to twilight for support he looks to Lilly. 🥹 it’s twilights “fault” anyway but still definitely the last panel was cute.

Awww, when you said that, it kind of made me sad. Yeah, he went to Lily now instead of Twi. I wonder if it broke some of him inside when he couldn't turn to Twilight since she was the "aggressor" in his eyes.

Oh my, the whole comic is now exploring much deeper in humanity(or dragonity I guess). Maybe it is the first time Spike felt unneed while Twilight has already felt it when Spike met Lily. And I have a feeling of Spike's moving out, would that be the trigger?
