- VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

As you may have noticed, the betas released after v3.33 is a complete overhaul and update to a ton of core mechanics, thus it is strongly suggested you restart the story or preferbly begin a fresh, new playthrough to experience everything new.

Currently, you can reach the end of Nillia Woods before reaching the end of the beta, which awards you with the Orb of Restoration, loading up old saves that takes place beyond this point will have a ton of graphical issues, so it's highly recommended not to.
But don't worry, keep those old saves secured because they will become compatible again once everything in the game has been updated, for the time being, the game is being progressively updated and additional betas will be released more frequently to let you continue.

If you are currently playing through the story and hasn't reached the end yet, while not wanting to restart, it's suggested to keep playing v3.33 as I'll leave the file available.

- UPDATE -

A bug prevented progress beyond Caimridge, this has been fixed in this version.

- IMPORTANT NOTES -

To reinstate what was mentioned in previous betas, this version of the game was made on a new computer, new OS and a new RPG Maker XP version I had to purchase from Steam. (Which adds a new file in the game folder)
I don't know for sure, but I think this file might be something that removes the need to download/install RPG Maker XP to play the game, which would make those steps in the manual redundant...but again, just assuming here!

While this version doesn't add any additional story per say, you may notice the beta title is a number longer than usual, that is because every core mechanic has gone through an overhaul that allows for much more freedom on my part, but also makes things better.
Textboxes are personalized for the situations, emoticons are far larger, loot are visually represented, a new mini-game, and much more!

A ton of dialogue and cutscenes have also been re-written to no longer include outdated, or flat out wrong, information being mentioned - along with some characters acting more like they should, based on their personalities.

This also means there are far greater chances of graphical glitches, like the emoticon showing up incorrectly or staying on screen when it shouldn't.
Please report these either on the Discord server, the comments below, or message me personally, as some of these issues would be very hard for me to find on my own.
And as always, please check the Patch Notes for everything new with this release!
The location of the three latest treasure maps are also listed near the top!

If you missed out on the previous versions, some major changes has been assigning sprinting to SHIFT/Z, which no longer needs the boots, along with a "Quick-Menu" being accessed with the A button, except during "chases" or when the menu is disabled for story reasons.

Be sure unpack the game from the downloaded .ZIP file and to consult with the manual if it's your first time starting up!
The manual also list how to properly import saves between betas/episodes, if you've ever encountered an issue where the game acts like the new content hasn't been added.

And please report any oddities or glitches you may encounter in the comments below, or in the troubleshooting section of the LoQO Discord channel you should have access to.

Enjoy!

If you are playing the previous beta, sail around the Beldorian Empire to the northern side and look for a dock to approach.

William DeCell

Gabe... why are the conversations showing my character's head full on display? what did you do to the coding for it?

GabeWork

That is part of the overhaul! :3

William DeCell

Well my head is still on display and not going away unless some other character ends the conversation. Like it is stuck there and cover 5/8 of the screen.

GabeWork

Did you start a new playthrough, or are you resuming playing the end-game from the previous beta?

William DeCell

Resume from the previous beta. I haven’t played this game since last year.

GabeWork

Then you may want to read the post above...it'll explain everything. x3

William DeCell

Gabe, you need to return the character display back to small or at least have the option to do that. I'm currently restarting the game back to square one and when Craden shows up in the cutscene with his sister Laquadia and the Harlequinn his head is now stuck to my screen.

GabeWork

That has been fixed on my end, you can get rid of him by opening the Art Gallery.
