take a peek at livechart and the internet, let me know what are the most popular shows airing next season I should keep my eyes on. I usually know a good amount but sometiumes stuff slips through so if you know of some big things I should peak for the viewership like lord of mysteries, let a brother know

Comments

flavdorks414

I keep a eye out for sure. But I think new shield hero is coming if that still big.

AH Brandon Reviews

yeah last season aired on a sat or something and there was so much negativity and bigger shows i mostly skipped it on the channel. this time airing on an easier day so im hoping this new season has more viewership for videos as i thought s3 was great

GoC

You should absolutely check out Secrets of the Silent Witch. It's such an amazing series

Lin Hamrick

Gatchiakuta is good manga, anime should be good too.

Tobias Reinhold

Safe bet - as most of the time - is to keep track of the rankings at MyAnimeList. Top 6 are probably good bets, though I think some of those may not fit with your usual audience. Dress Up Darling, Dandadan, Kaijuu, Call of the Night will probably all do fairly well. Witch Watch is continuing, so there's also that one. Gonna have to see about Shield Hero, I stopped watching part-way through season 1 and from what I've heard neither the manga nor the anime appear to have done all that well at retaining western fans. The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity might be an awesome romance series, probably gonna give that one a try. If Sakamoto Days once again uses the split-/delayed-release structure, it's gonna crash and burn for react content. Still highly recommend watching the next part, though, because it's where the manga actually managed to climb up in the rankings at Weekly Shounen Jump. (Start was tough, often times ranking around places 15-20, close to getting axed. Only around the part that's gonna happen next did it start surging, with it now regularly placing around 5th place in the magazine each week.) Aside from that, heard a lot of hype for Gachiakuta, curious about what that one's gonna be like. Don't know much about anything else. One last suggestion, but that one's probably just for you to enjoy yourself, is "With you and the Rain" (Ame to Kimi to). Seems to be incredibly wholesome bit of soul cleansing. Always a good idea to pick up one series that just feels good every season. Anyways, looking forward to what you might find from other suggestions. My expectations before I saw trailer-reaction-compilations and the like for this current season were very small, only planning on watching Lazarus, Slime Witch, Witch Watch and Ranger Rejects. Dropped Slime Witch, cannot even legally watch Lazarus in my country, but ended up discovering Kowloon, Rock wa Lady, aswell as Country Bumpkin, which managed to become my top 3 in that order.

I also think the third season did sort of redeem the show for many. The final recent arc.

Gun Bunny

Several sequels are things you've reacted to before, I think: DanDaDan, Sakamoto Days, Seventh Prince, Kaiju 8. Don't know if you're interested in Dress-Up Darling or Call of the Night, but I highly recommend them as well (after catching up on them, both S1s are only twelve episodes). As far as new shows: -Secrets of the Silent Witch for the awkward OP MC -Gachiakuta for some interesting world building -The Water Magician looks to be a really well animated isekai -Nyaight of the Living Cat looks like Nokotan if it took itself completely seriously instead of trying to wink at the audience ten times an episode -The Summer Hikaru Died for psychological suspense -City: The Animation is a slice-of-life comedy from the author of Nichijou and KyoAni so you know it'll look amazing -Intro to Mineralogy might be a sleeper pick with Studio Bind taking on cute girls doing cute things again (Onimai was much better than I expected going in)

GoC

Can't wait to hear your thoughts

AH Brandon Reviews

call ofthe nioght did decent on the channel but its not super great for weekly discussions but ill probably watch it here

Rajvir Malhans

Lord of Mysteries is heavily hyped up so definitely recommend that one. I need to check more myself although I need to finish my countless shows I am behind on from last season and maybe also catch up and watch Grand Blue Dreaming and a few other upcoming season 2s. There is a new season of Toilet Bound Hanako Kun. A second cour for the second season although I don’t know how much hype it still has. The manga is very popular though. I’ll probably comment again later this week for other stuff to look out for though.

flavdorks414

There a show about kudos having gloves and those gloves have powers but I forgot the name

ShadowCyberDemon

I know viewership can be hit and miss when it comes to romance anime but I've heard nothing but good things about, Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku. Tougen Anki is another one I've been seeing getting alot of buzz online. As for isekai trash Vending Machine is back and I'm morbidly curious about Busamen Gachi Fighter

AH Brandon Reviews

water magician i literally just peaked the trailer for im like wtf is this animation lmao

Didrik Svahn

Oh course the biggest return is Dandadan. But My dress up darling is also returning. I have read one of the story arc from the manga. And it will be good in a romcom way. So I’m looking forward to that. Another romcom that is returning is A couple of coockos. Which was a show that you did review for a while three years ago and liked until you suddenly stop with it. This is the shows that I have been looking forward to the most so far

umpmeister

Bullet bullet looks good and it is from director of JJK s1 and movie, Summer Hikaru died looks awesome, Tougen anki doesn’t looks bad to check out and Mynoghra new dark fantasy - I read little of manga and its pretty decent

AH Brandon Reviews

dress up im expecting bombs on the channel but maybe if i goon bait enough people will show up. cuckoos i just had enough of i got what i wanted out of it didnt really need more

AH Brandon Reviews

the biggest issue is it airs on sat where other guranteed shows air so yeah fragrent flower prolly not on the channel

umpmeister

What show are you talking about ?

ShadowCyberDemon

I figured as much, this is probably the most packed summer anime season I've seen in years. You see things here that you'd normally see in a fall/winter lineup

Didrik Svahn

I hope that dress up works as it’s a good romance story that deserves attention. Especially so that we can get more seasons of that instead of just another Rent girlfriend season like most other years

umpmeister

Kaoru hana is amazing, definitely best ongoing romance manga rn

umpmeister

Damn, again anime that conversation about that show will die after 3 days bcs of the full release

myst0dreamer

Is the animation that bad? Because I was looking forward to that since I've been reading the LN.

swmii

The big ones will probably be Dandadan 2, Call of the Night 2, Dress-up daring 2, (I'm sensing a pattern here) Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus. City the Animation might do well, it's by the author of Nichijou. As might The Summer Hikaru Died. Nyaight of the Living Cat, who can resist a cat apocalypse?

Gun Bunny

It's a little inconsistent, to be sure, but the water looks phenomenal, as it should. Go peep the trailer if you're wondering.

AH Brandon Reviews

im not sure if its the disney release doing it but lviechart list internation release as 1-8 dropping so yeah..

AH Brandon Reviews

thing that sucks about rascal is the last 2 movies still arent legally streaming

umpmeister

Hoping that anime will not be in Disney jail like Summertime render was

AH Brandon Reviews

luckily a lot is spaced out decent but as usually the weekend lineup is gonna be only keeping the best of the best cause i cant do more than 3 shows a day for YT its too much

Gaius

I'm assuming you're going to do the sequels of anime you've seen and liked, so I'm recommending only new anime on different days: Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant! - Adventure/Comedy/Fantasy/Slice-of-Life - Thu (7/3) - Protagonist Chef. Sometimes you just want to turn your brain off and enjoy seeing some anime food. Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter - Fantasy/Magic/Drama - Fri (7/4) - Like Brilliant Healer expect instead of a healing magic, it's arcane. Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra - Action/Adventure/Comedy - Sun (7/6) - Think Overlord where Ainz had with no Nazarick except Albedo. The Mikadono sisters are surprisingly easy to deal with - Comedy/Romance - Wed (7/9) - Feels like Dangers in My Heart mixed with Alya Hides Her Feelings, except with triple female MCs who are sisters.

EternallyLost

I know I'm really excited for City the Animation. nothing has quite scratch that same itch as Nichijou

bloodiOS

Hope you keep the support for hotel themed show going by picking up Hotel Inhumans after you’re done with Apocalypse Hotel. I also enjoyed reading Jigoku Sensei Nube back in the 90s so I’d recommend checking out of the new anime adaptation.

Angela 🌺

I'm really excited for "The Summer Hikaru Died." Its got parasite vibes and seems like it will be good. "The Water Magician" sounds like a new isekai with a twist. I'm not sure how it will be, but I'll be watching. One that's finishing up now, "I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!" kinda went unnoticed. It's 24 episodes and has been a really fun adventure. There are harem elements, but there's also a little love story, so it's kinda sweet. "Nyaight of the Living Cat" looks awesome! My husband is down to watch it and he's not even big on anime, lol! I think it's going to be fun. On the romance side, "Betrothed to My Sister's Ex" might be interesting. Sounds a bit Cinderella-ish, but I'm interested. It reminds me a bit of 7th time loop. "With You and the Rain" looks cute. "Solo Camping for Two" is on my radar. It's slice of life. I'm probably going to checkout "Captivated, By You," too. It sounds cute with two people becoming unlikly friends. HS SOL.

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

I'm not sure what people are hyped for, but personally the ones I'm looking forward to are as follow (in no particular order, but separated in hype categories): Most Hyped for: - Dress Up Darling season 2 (one of my favorite arcs from the manga should be adapted in this season) - The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku) (this is one of my favorite romance manga of all time) Relatively Hyped for: - Clevatess (I've read a bit of the manga and it's really good)(I hope the anime will be good) - See You Tomorrow at the Food Court (Food Court de, Mata Ashita) (I really like the manga for this one(it's complete). It's a nice Slice-of-Life series. So there isn't really a need for great animation nor any plot rush for its adaptation, so I'm not as worried for the adaptation of this one compared to Clevatess.) - PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT season 2 Looking Forward to: - 7th Prince season 2 - Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra - The Water Magician (no idea if it will be good, but the water magic animation looks interesting) - I also intend to check out the few new Otome shows, but those aren't any that I read the source material for. So I have no idea if they'll be good.

xNico

Seventh Prince S2 is coming out and this season is definately gonna be a ton of fun, personally I think it's where the series really gets going (though another factor is that the manga art and colouring got actually insane during this arc), but even without that it's gonna be a blast! Outside of that, barring the pretty obvious choices to watch, I would also recommend checking out "City the Animation" since it's done by the same author as Nichijou and has KyoAni working on it.

Gonzago

Gachiakuta Silent Witch

Kakyou

S4 will be good more redemption arc and depending on the pacing hard feels as well.. if not now then S5

Kakyou

Tsuyokute New Saga, the source material LN 10 volumes, manga 107 volumes is really good and has many great not-black and white approaches to common themes in regression series. However, depending on the pacing it can be a hit or miss... if they cramp too much in the 12 episodes, then the charme would be lost. It would be a perfect 2 cour anime ~4-5 chapters per episode.

AH Brandon Reviews

new saga i actually was peaking but thought it would be generic so ill keep my eyes on for sure

AH Brandon Reviews

7th prince still one of the most surpsising shows I didnt expect to love

AH Brandon Reviews

yeah I really wish it aired on a different day i suspect it;ll be a patreon only show more than likely but the hiakru died looks killer no pun intended haha

AH Brandon Reviews

i might try the hotel one but atm its not grabbing me that hard but never know!

xNico

Even though I know you won't, it's so much fun and insane that I still want to say "please read the manga" because it's just that good. The adaptation isn't even bad or anything, (Think OPM S2 levels, a perfectly ok adaptation) but the coloured art is the best I have ever seen in manga period.

Angela 🌺

LOL, yeah, I'm really excited for it! I've seen a lot of hype and excitement around it, so I'm really excited to check it out!

SheepReaper

Hey, didn't we do this a couple weeks ago? Cant find my previous rec's

AH Brandon Reviews

i asked what people were excited for before, im asking what is the popular stuff here

SheepReaper

Hmm. I don't people much. I don't put much stock into the zeitgeist. Though I guess you do need something to carry the channel, and have some groups to complain against... Shield Hero maybe? idk, not qualified to answer this question.

Jan Pettersson

I am interested in "Takopis original sin"- going in blind, but all in all too many shows that looks interesting.

Backslash

Call of the night 2 will def be big. It’s directed by the same director as the Monogatari series between Nise and Owari 2, so naturally the first season direction felt very similar to Monogatari in terms of angles and weird cuts (and head tilts)

AH Brandon Reviews

It's not really a great series for weekly discussion imo s1 got boring by the end for me making videos

4six

Are you concerned about covering them without official legal streams? Maybe they’ll be added to CR or whatever soon with new season coming up?

AH Brandon Reviews

Internet doesn't know how to find anything not on a streaming service. It's 2025 and a majority of people will ask where to watch something that is on a streaming site. Two cannon arcs not available anywhere means the season will flop for discussion

Winter Naomi Vera .

Not sure how popular it will be, but since I know you liked "Noko-tan", definitely look up "Puniru Is A Kawaii Slime". Season 2 starts this summer, but it shouldn't take much to catch up.

Thomas

Definitely waiting for them to start airing new episodes too. It was very funny for a kid's show.

Thomas

For my own suggestion I just gave "Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant!" a watch and it was surprisingly enjoyable. I figured it was going to be the typical kicked out of the party revenge story, and it might still become that, but the first episode gave me some hopes that it'll be a cozy show. The animation and character designs are also surprisingly good for this sort of show.

Kakyou

Do yourself a favor and watch it after episode 7 or so, this should cover book 1 and the first arc... There is not much "wow" in each episode because the good things are subtle.. and play their charm in retrospect if you look to the larger picture... It really is a solid series and one of the first good regression stories.... of course the adaptation came too late.. so everyone is comparing it to other regression series... well it is given.

AegisTR

It's a late comment, but check Ruri Rocks (Ruri no Houseki). It's made by Studio Bind. Imagine Mushoku Tensei Season 1 levels of animation but with moe. It has really quality animation. Good moe. And high level of enjoyment.
