I think those were my favorite OP and ED to date for Tensura and I really loved S3's OPs and EDs. This season should satisfy the battle junkies. Volumes 10-15 are pretty action heavy and I've seen plenty of speculation that that is how far this season will go.

Yeah that EP and its visuals would be entirely appropriate for a horror anime. My impression as a rabid Tensura fan is that this episode touched on a lot of topics that will develop into the major plot areas of the story. I have a feeling iirc that it pulled from various parts of the novels that weren't together there, so the anime in and of itself was mostly well-paced, but it might be hard to compare and see how much of the LN's are actually covered. It might be faster than it was before. I would say they focused on character development, and setting the right mood. I noticed they worked hard to make the meetings not seem like meetings, and all the meetings were short. The visuals were similar to before so far, but there hasn't been any action yet. They put some effort into the backgrounds, esp. Rimuru's meeting room? Hall? too. I probably will think of other things later.

Hard to compete with "Like Flames" as an OP but this one hits just as hard and the ED's visuals paint Mirabel as an absolute monster.

The pacing suggests that it might get that far, it's hard to tell for sure yet, although I myself had been thinking the pacing would be similar to previous seasons, which would get it even further than Volume 15. But I hope Volume 15 is included, because it's one of my faves.

Shion obtained the skill "Master Cook" last season. Whatever she cooks tastes just like she intended and is tasty. However it still looks like hell.

They skipped mentions of it, but a couple of weeks passed between the horror-like tea and the nice tea scenes. During that time Diablo taught Shion how to make good tea without relying on her Master Chef/Cook skill, while also tasting all of the attempts himself. Everything for Rimuru-sama's sake! Even Diablo felt ill for the first time of his eternal life.

Volumes 13-15 have to be done together. I'll riot if there's a seasonal gap between 14 and 15. They shouldn't go past 16 at the most. I just don't think they're going to get by 15 if they dedicate the right amount of time to each fight this season.

There was nothing spoiler-y about them. It was masterful foreshadowing. When the events they represent show up, you're going to go d'oh.

You got me studying the dragon in the opening, and I just can't tell if it's him or not. Something's slightly off, but maybe they're taking some liberties with the presentation, given the situation, if that's the scene it's from. But then again, Yuki wasn't there for that, at least not personally... So, either that's just creative for the OP, intentionally not revealing too much, or they've further reorganized the events. One of the scenes in the OP, I'm almost positive it's the avatars. I was sure they were going to leave them out of the story, but that's a good sign that they might dive deeper into the magitech. That's a huge opportunity to build on the LN, where a lot of the tech is only casually mentioned, not in great detail. Personally, I just want to see Raphael's moment. I'd be satisfied. But with 5 cours, I just don't see how we don't at least start, if not finish the Eastern Empire Arc(s). I just hope they don't speedrun to the end. I honestly want them to take the end and do as they did with MHA, where the final season was basically the final battle while tying up the loose strings. We have a long way to go, but I'm going to spend the whole season thinking which end they want to go with; maybe we'll get something anime-original. I'm kinda hoping for that actually. We've had different endings in the WN, LN, and Manga, so I honestly would enjoy yet another version of the end because every time it's better than the last.

I think the dragon was not something they took artistic liberties with. If they don't look similar then I think it’s not similar. If I understand correctly which him you're talking about, that is. And I might downgrade the entire anime if I don't get a satisfying Volume 15 adaptation.

I'm gonna be blunt Season 3 absolutely destroyed my love for the series, I'm talking I was reading light novels, manga, spinoff mangas, the whole lot as soon as they came out, and S3 managed to put a stop to all of that. Seeing something I loved so much being done so dirty (at least in my eyes) was painful haha However, those openings and endings are seriously good, even if I think they are unrealistic expectations of the animation (which is totally fine). That being said, I will basically be using your (and the comments) reactions as somewhat of a barometer for how good this season is, and by extension whether I should pick this series up again, because I don't think I can handle another horribly paced and cut content riddled season. (Especially since like S3 this is one of my favourite parts of the whole story) I'm just praying they do this series justice again like (most) of Season 2. I'm gonna be trusting your opinion on this one!

I think the quote from first season was "smooth as a mannequin". Racially speaking, slimes don't reproduce sexually, nor excrete waste. Any waste Rimuru excretes is in the form of magicules, which he immedialy eats to suppress his aura. Though, with his evolution, he can freely change his physical form. He could give himself whatever plumbing he wants if he desired it...
