Glad the Empire is finally being mentioned properly after most of the references to it have been cut from the anime besides a mention of it in S1E2 and vague references whenever the Eastern Merchants come up. Now they just need to put a flashback to Zegion and Apito's introduction, since I still hold a grudge over them being cut from the anime till now besides some cameos, and I may become more tolerant of the anime cutting material.

How'd you like Shion 's new idle animation?

Yeah, the meetings are much better than they were before (but there’s still gotta be meetings). And of course, all episodes can't be just fun and games like last episode. ....... They finally came out and said something concrete about the Eastern Empire. The only way they can get to the Western Nations is (a) through Dwargon; (b) through a mountainous region inhabited by dragons (not True Dragons); (c) over the seas, where there are numerous sea monsters; (d) through the Forest of Jura. ...... They think they can use Rimuru. ROFL. ..... . I heard there will only be a recap episode next week, so we will have to wait to find out what happens. I think it'll be a good episode.

The whistle is a Return Whistle or something like that. It's a one time use item that allows the dungeon challengers to teleport out of the dungeon with their loot. If they die in the dungeon, they lose their loot.

I forget what episode it was but the Eastern Empire was mentioned again in Blumund in a conversation between Fuze and the Viscount (I forget his name atm). They were saying that it didn't look like the Empire was making any moves after all right now.

That's the mention in S1E2 I was talking about. Also, Fuze's best friend's name is Veryard.

Not sure if controlling rimuru could work. With his Raphael ability he is 2 persons 1 body. Raphael was able run independently when rimuru was for 3 days becoming a demon lord..

myst0dreamer

Depends on what they're trying to control him with. Mariabel's Greed is a Unique Skill. There all kinds of mind control methods in this world. But we do know Shion and all the ones resurrected when Rimuru became a Demon Lord can't be controlled because Perfect Memory means they're minds ate all backed up in Rimuru's soul? I think.

In Season 1 Episode 2, that's when the Empire is mentioned for the first time, saying the Empire might invade now that Veldora disappeared. In Episode 6, Fuze said to the Adventurer trio (Eren, etc.) --I had it wrong, it wasn't Veryard here -- it didn't look like the Empire was trying to cross the Jura Forest. Also, I just remembered, when Rimuru got to talking with Kaijin in Dwargon, Kaijin said they might be going to war, so that's why they were ordering all those swords. That was referring to the Eastern Empire, too, although they weren't named specifically.

Recall the debut of the Dungeon at the Ascension Festival. That one solo prick got his head removed by a dryad. They made it clear that they disabled the pain inhibitors as punishment for disrespecting a GM. In the LN, they went into a bit more detail, and iirc, the pain inhibitors only activate when receiving lethal damage. Rimuru didn't want people to get desensitized to pain and become reckless as a result because that would also affect them outside the dungeon. And letting them feel true death would also be traumatizing.

SheepReaper

I hope the Council is handled by the book. Can't wait.

Ultimate Skills(In most cases) trump Unique Skills. Basically it's Manas>Ultimate>Unique>Extra>Common in terms of power. Using a control type Unique skill against someone possessing an Ultimate skill is a fool's errand. It's why the necklace failed to control Millim in season 2. Maribel is about to get rude awakening from her delusions.
