when isekai forces the MC to remove their morals to the point of no return...sure it's all to help people but watching her become someone okay with manipulating and exploiting someone's end for the greater good is a development 👀

let me know what you thought on the episode!

You know pops. This is almost the only case where a series that is animated villainizes Class systems as a means to show case why they could work in certain cases. Not once is the Darkside sugar coated in this series. The King to the lowliest noble is all shit people objectively for the laws allowed and the treatment of the people. Yet the hard core facts; the thing that one iota can be denied about the entire thing. Mana=survivable enviroment. SURVIVAL REQUIRES MANA. The one thing the innumerable masses have Zero of; and cannot reasonably obtain enough of any signifacant quantity is MANA. What recently happened, in this kingdom? Rewatch the earlier seasons or wait until the current or later ones remind you. Myne is in the center of the dead sea on a raft metaphorically and the only one on it that has fresh water left. Its that kind of issue. Literally killing more Nobles tightens the noose around the kingdoms neck. Myne shows up in S1 with like 5 nobles worth of mana and about to go off like a nuke. This was never going to be an easy route to a happy ending.

And here we are for another dose of the path to hell is paved with good intentions. The portrayal of Ferdinand is really good and fits the character, who has a countrywide reputation for ruthlessness. Regarding the language of the 4 new children, only the oldes girl speaks in a way that would be considered proper. The other 3 had a way of talking that would be considered rude for a formal situation even in modern Japan, such as talking to a teacher at school, so imagine in a proper interaction with a noble.

few shows do slavery well. Having it be a result of necessity or just exploitation for profit. It is things like this that really make bookworm stand out. kinda like apothecary diaries. her main is high in social ladder.

This is one of my favorite moments of this show so far. And I have been looking forward to it for a while. As we rarely get as a good and logical arguments for why this society. Have stuff that we would consider evil with the selling of humans and such. But here it actually makes sense. When you realize that the mayor care for the orphans. And when they become adults they even get a patch of land so that they could provide for themselves. That is not free and cost valuable resources for such farming village. So the orphans become more of an investment. So imagined this you and your family live in a rural place where you farm and try to live off the land. But every winter is brutal so without good shelter and preparations. You might freeze to death. And then you hear that the orphans in the next village over. Which would have covered the cost for your closest ones to survive the winter. That those orphans was taken by a young noble girl. Below the age of 10 that demands to have them for her new project. That her father the aub decided to built a big temple just for that. Such a building that would look more fancy than what you have ever seen before. Would you actually view such a person favorably? Now when your family survival might be in question. Because you would be worried if anyone you know would freeze to death just because of that decision from that noble. Would you not view her as a spoiled little girl, that gets what she points at while your family’s faith is uncertain

Ferdinand basically was “Bribing? No this is called lobbying and is totally legal nothing wrong with that.”

No I disagree he is too logical and capable to fit in there currently. As I feel like nowadays it’s run by fools and clowns IMAO
