The fact that this simple SOL episode pretty much confirms the only reason the world hasn't been conquered and Rimuru has checks and balances for his own power is because he allows it 💀

23:27 for final thoughts

Cour 2 will begin already next week so no breaks on that front. Do you ever react to trailers? would love to see your reaction to cour 2´s trailer and see how much you could flesh out from it, spoilers ahead, the plot is about to escalate.

Fair, that does give you a more genuine experience after all seeing it for the first time.

The god-grade swords have been shown in the anime before or at least Asura/Tenma (Milim's), Truth (Granville's) and Night Rose (Luminous'). I don't recall Flame Pillar showing up at this point, though its master has, so I'm surprised they showed it. If legend-grade's like Hinata's Moonlight are the equivalent of machine guns then god-grades are nukes.

Rimuru has yet to to get the nuclear death robots in this game of civ of his. also who the heck in tempest is going to judge rimuru. he will go to prison because he allows it

Gaia's subplot is amazingly extendable: Tensura's soul mechanics are very fleshed out, and I appreciate the thought Fuze put into it. This new Gaia is not the same being as the nameless dragon that part of their soul comes from. Rimuru recovered only a fragment of the original soul. By itself, it could not be reborn. Rimuru "repaired" the soul by filling in the missing pieces with "pseudo soul". Rimuru's been playing god in his evil lab, comes out and flexes some casual soul magic, and then wonders why people worship him. Milim is surprisingly casual about the whole thing. Her eye really does help her comprehend things; she is fully aware of what is going on and is very okay with what just happened. That said, I like the idea that this is the first harem baby of the series. Milim may have provided at least half of the power when naming Gaia, but Rimuru fixed their soul AND created a body from straight magicules. So it's not a stretch to suggest that Gaia is Rimuru's and Milim's baby. And the reason it hatched so quickly was that Milim was almost literally sitting on that egg, and subconsciously pumping more power into it. It's the same mechanic they explained with Keade/Hakuro and Momiji. Makes sense that more power would move things along faster. Which is also why Milim was so tired all the time.

the only one that could & would be willing is Hinata

I feel like the demon lords aren't the problems on this planet 😒

I remember when separation of power was a reliable sort of thing that we kind of counted on and wasn't just something that someone in power could completely disregard. I have to look and see how long ago this part of the manga was written 😒

Legally Distinct From Materia™️Sword

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

Rimuru's sword evolved the way it did because it was bathing non-stop in Rimuru's concentrated magicules inside his dimensional stomach. Edit: by the way, that's also the reason Ranga became so damn powerful. Because he is almost always in Rimuru's shadow basking in his magicules.

The Vampire Overcomers are daywalking vampires from Luminous' kingdom who have overcome all the weaknesses of vampires(including the need to drink blood). Unlike other nations, their source of interest in science is to escape boredom (they are all from the vampire kingdom of Luminous that Veldora destroyed a long time ago, aka they are all much older than Milim). Another interesting thing is that the science they specialize in is closer to our science on Earth. They study science removed from magic, and physics magic(megiddo that Rimuru made is an example of physics based magic). They are interested in understanding how the actual natural laws of reality work rather than just focus on magic to circumvent or twist the natural laws.

Finally time for some of my favorite characters to take the stage: Ultima, Carrera, and Testarossa

The Demon Lords are actually a check on Humanity. I would explain more but I'd be spoiling future plot threads in doing so.
