I think the series will be slept on until an episode. Since it's on Crunchyroll, some of the most impactful parts of the series can appear on youtube and motivate people to watch the show.

Oh crap, we have another Terenezza... It seems our MC is just as capable of punching, but I feel like she is more of the type of person to deal with stuff in indirect ways (like Renner in Overlord). Can't wait to see how it goes. I like how the premises look like Magical Revolution, with a silver-haired girl who aims to be perfect, but instead of breaking down because she feels worthless, she is like "You bite the hand that feeds you? Fine. I have other choices."

10:42 : You probably missed it, but Lady Elizabeth pointed out her injury when they met for tea, and the fact that she got it while riding with another guy than the prince. What idiots those nobles are. This woman is a perfect genius, and she just decided to not let herself be walked on anymore. They took her for granted, now she decided to go where her skills are actually recognized. Kind of what I wanted to happen in Shield Hero season 1 (Naofumi going to Siltvelt, the beast people kingdom, where the shield hero is venerated).

When I watched Magical Revolution, I thought it was a "as if" story of what would happened if Elizabeth had someone who cared about her.

Interesting show. I like that take. Being a really good person but fed up is not absolutely new but her ways are interesting, she seems to be very smart and capable. I just found her "I am okay with all this" to "I will destroy the kingdom" a little bit fast. All it took were a few words from her maid.

The start of this episode reminded me so much about May I ask for one final thing. With the prince accusing the MC of baseless crime. Meanwhile the red haired woman is such a bitch with how she is grabbing the prince attention. Plus that ice magic where she created a clone of herself. Reminded me of Elfaria from Sword and Wand.

Didrik Svahn

The people who believes baseless rumors over all the good will that a person previously has done. Just feel too real tbh. But I love where this is going so far. By her actually wanting to leave and destroy the kingdom where she come from

i am reading this manga; it is fantastic. this show is going to be awesome.

If Scarlet was THE villainess of 2025, and Elizabeth is THE villainess of 2026, then I can’t wait for Remilia to be THE villainess of 2027.

groudonvert

The blond girl at 1:49 is voiced by Asami Seto... aka Scarlet. The punching girl joke goes wild XD

groudonvert

I hope they manage to do the full series in one go with The One within the villainess.

I don't think this is the case but... could you imagine if Mireille was actually manipulating everything from behind the scenes to get Elizabeth to abandon the Kingdom?

groudonvert

It's not that Mireille's words moved her, it was how Mireille, who's always calm and expressionless, let her feelings explode. It's a mix of many things that made Elizabeth changes her mind. Without the Kingdom's betrayal, Mireille would never have made Elizabeth change her mind, if it was the King or her Father who informed her of the situation, she would never have changed her mind either.

Saw this recommended a while ago. Seems like it could be good, but I guess we'll see how good in anime form. I'm willing to believe her.annger in the original is maybe a bit better portrayed, like rising over time vs the single conversation in the anime. I understand there's time constraints, but it just feels a little incomplete overall.

groudonvert

Her anger is not portrayed by only one conversation, you know. There are at least 2 occasions where you can see her anger.

dotperson

Probably so. Just felt like it's probably one of those things where LN readers probably get more context, but I don't know. As-is it's better than average, but IMO could have been better if it skipped the very standard ballroom scene for a bit more specific background.

groudonvert

Funnily enough, I got the same impression when I read the Light Novel 2 years ago, her shift was too fast. That's what I thought, but Elizabeth is the kind of person to keep her feelings inside. Also, unlike many villainess series, the ballroom scene has an importance in the story... even if it looks generic.

I dont know. If she is as capable as she is presented why is she so surprised by the betrayal? She seems also quite narcissistic. To let the whole country suffer just because the prince did that to her. I could understand to bring down the current government, but that is a little extreme. I hope at least the whole setup will be interresting and she does not use the deus ex machine magic too often.
