I can say while I enjoyed the content massively, the new art style isn't doing it for me but thankfully not enough to ruin it just makes me miss that s1 style.

21:40 final thoughts on the episode. Let me know what you thought!

Could compare this to Frontier Lord? +1 unnecessary drama...

Yeah I'll have too agree, the new art style is much worse. In the first frames of the op I was almost wondering if this was one of those chibi-ova things instead like re:zero and overlord has, it seems way more simple and cartoony. I'll get used to it but I liked the old designs and now everyones faces and eyes look weird, and yes also their body proportions have all changed, especially Olivia and Angelica. Going from a more mature design to this is rough.

it's like we went from a cool space fightign otome game to a SOL school series 🗿 ill get used to it but I dont like it and think s1 was over hated visually

Another change they made from the light novel is the mother and church representative that came with her also demanded he pay a donation to the church (hence his comment) also they weren’t surrounded, church ships were at the port. Leon instead gives the necklace to another representative that is waiting at the port and confirms he doesn’t need to donate(it was just the mother being greedy)

Porpoise Power

Of course Leon's got a big ass bed it needs to sleep at least 4. None of Marie's harem though. They have to stand and watch.

Exrotes

Funny to end this episode with some mystery figure in the shadows only for her to be the focus of the ED with the same outfit .

I don't care too much about the colors. But the overall designs really do look simplified in a bad way, like less detailed and more generic.

Odd thing as the studio didn't change and the staff is pretty much the same as S1.

The change in art style was a bit jolting Having read the source material I noticed a change in the story that might alter a character's arc (to reveal the change would induce a spoiler to an event with big implications) I agree Marie is coming off more as comic relief. Side note: I look at Leon this season in a similar way attitude wise as Liam (Evil Lord) when it comes to dealing with his "peers"

all because the LN author didn't like s1 visuals we get the temu editon..

wakka866

Yeah agreed the art style is different. Still alright to watch but a bit jaring

Vibal

I agree with everyone here: the artstyle has been downgraded. The story is still fun, though, so I'll try to jut get used to it. That fake mustache guy will never regrow it, btw. Leon's robot buddy used permanent laser shaving.
