I'm excited to see the rest of the season 2! I read the manga, but like season 1 where it adapts the light novel, which I haven't read. Granted there are scenes and content timeline switch, or one doesn't exist in the other, I'm in it a ride with season 2 anime as well, extra content for me! Love this show, thank you dad🗿

I really love this show, didn't need a recap and pretty knew what was going on. He is such a great teacher. That magic lady is really pushing out his greatness

I dunno if we're watching the same show. I'm pretty sure S2 will be about him recognizing his waifus and progressing into a harem master. I really liked the sparring match. Looking forward to this show since it'll probably have the best choreographed fights of the season (maybe not the best animated, but it feels kinda raw with a good sense of realism. It focuses on the micro-interactions during the combat rather than just throwing out big and flashy moves).

On original viewing, I found the new OP to be one of the worst I've seen in recent months. Upon seeing it here a second time - this time around on 1.5 times speed - I've mellowed out on my opinion. Visuals are still decently enjoyable, so nothing bad there. The instrumental accompaniment felt better a second time around. I still do not like the vocal performance at all, though. The voice just doesn't work for me. Think if they had someone like Vaundy singing the exact same song to the exact same music, I'd rate the OP pretty highly, but as it stands I'm still not convinced by it.

Nice to see it looking good art style wise. Beryl is one of the few trustworthy older guys in anime. The 3d is IMO well used to give the fights real crispness, which is something the LN focuses on too. The stage was set on S1, should get to see some growth from Beryl in S2, although it is sometimes frustrating slow.

I'm glad to see the 3D for combat is still solid. Maybe stuttering a little bit here and there, but the movements are natural and satisfying. Oh my god, Mewi is so freaking adorable! She is so embarrassed to have her dad be the teacher! "Mewi picked up the sword from watching me. I can't disappoint her!" THE POWER OF DAD!
