if it wasn't for Tanya, this sister of the church would be the most sinful character of the season 😭

The Bible does not explicitly name gambling as a sin, but Christian views on the practice are mixed. Whether it is considered wrong depends on personal motives, financial stewardship, and the risk of addiction.

im not religious as I don't believe in any of it, but it should be seen as a sin because greed is a sin and gambling is greed among other aspects it represents if you take it seriously imo. it's why many religious people treat it as a sin. Many religious people are also hypocrites, though, so they always pick and choose what is bad lol.

Shadowclonerex

That's why I stated personal motives for example would you consider participating in a raffle as a sin because raffles are gambling so is gacha games

thats why i think religion is silly to put it nicely (idc if people believe in it I just think it's..): because it all contradicts itself and is funny but yes that would be by its logic which is why its funny and I dont take any of it seriously. I once saw a dude preach at a church about gambling and 10 minutes later talk about the church raffle btw was comedy gold 🗿

It's funny to me that without the proper context, the last dialogue of the episode could be adressed to the viewer. With phrases like that, a trailer is already made lol

Yeah well the seven deadly sins were created by catholics. I studied envy when I was young (from a biblical standpoint), it's supposed to be one of the 7 deadly sins, but how do you interprete that God himself can be jealous ? What's the rightful envy and what is not ?

Also thank you for noticing the slave mark disappearing, I didn't notice it myself. In the manga it's not apparent at all that it disappears, but when her neck is visible in a later chapter she doesn't wear it. Since the anime basically follows the same route as the Manga (the Light Novel explains what's going on here), I thought they didn't bother.

was a really cool detail not sure when ive seen that happen before during the tranfer

That nun really do have lose morals with her admitting that she cheated at card plays. Then tries to deflect it, and saying “don’t tell the chapel” meaning for sure this is not ok in this setting

I love my fun facts... but that one is interesting (in my opinion) : Misha Tail is Ayumi Uehara's first role and she revealed she was nervous during her first recording session. But since Misha was also quite nervous when she meets Elizabeth, they basically grew up together as voice actor and character.

Out of topic, but, if my google translate didn't do some bullshit, there will be a trailer for the second season of A Wild Last Boss Appeared this friday. Will you react to it ?

If she manipulated that light and shadow for her little Front-row-seat monologue? :D So evil ... I love it. :D

This is quickly becoming villainess slop. Don't get me wrong, the nun is fun, and when she's actually doing something Elizabeth is a stone cold manipulative bitch, also fun. But this episode is like 90% barely animated, boring and frankly shallow lore dump. Also I hate the happy slave trope. I appreciate the first dealer being an absolute sleeze-ball. Doesn't help the girl she bought is a beast-kin. I'm also a little tired of the medieval, but super civilized, worlds in most villainess stories. Half the stories out there look like they were animated with stock footage. Let's have something set in a Modern setting. Or even the future\intergalactic.

Porpoise Power

Yeah I was wondering if she was effectively being freed... maybe if the other characters looked shocked or something?

groudonvert

No, debt slaves are allowed to not wear their marks if their owner wants it. There are 2 exceptions though : when they're owned by slave trade company and when they visit the imperial palace.

I couldn't help but feel uneasy every time the slave trade stuff was on screen. Usually, I don't mind too much. I think that's because the sellers are depicted as evil and we know the protag has good intentions. But here, I just felt weird about the whole thing. So many things feel off: the trade is unapologetically open, the "good" seller and Ellie talk about the slaves as if they are merchandise (realistic, but rough), Ellie doesn't even talk directly to the catgirl while deciding if she will buy her, the seller has that cold pragmatic logic of helping slaves not because they are human, but because he can sell them for more, and all the slaves look happy about their situation, even though they don't even own themselves. I relate so much with the little girl right now.
