Again, another episode I overall enjoyed despite the mediocre production value. Content is solid, but it'll forever break my heart how much better this show once looked. It's safe to say ep 3-4 confirmed I wanna finish the season

I went back to watch season 1 again to compare the art and it's like... season 2 is supposed to be more detailed? but if anything, besides the redesigned, it's less detail and watered down for season 2. Everyone's eyelashes used to be unique for each characters, and also the pupil in the eyes. now it's all the same. I a big fan of the line stroke hair highlights, season 2 hair now looks, less. Same with hair waviness as well, but it's all part of the face and the face redesign is just.. Like Olivia used to have the chubby cheek and cute, while Angelica in contrast looks like a mature adult, now they both look same age, and Olivia doesn't have the cute chubby cheek design anymore. Don't even get started on rampart, they butchered them.

ill never understand why the author disliked s1s art style outside of ego? cause they felt offended they didnt go with their vision but like who cares?

This and OPM will be studied in classrooms in the future as case studies of how to lose/bifurcate/polarize a fanbase in one season. I said this before, and I'll say it again: If you want the anime to look just like the manga, then go read the manga. Anime is supposed to have animation; it's kinda the whole point. It's a different medium; of course, the perspective is different. I enjoyed Farming Life despite how broken the story feels now that all the kids are gone. If we get another adaptation, I will enjoy that too, and I'll have enjoyed 2 new anime that happen to share source material. Just like FMA and FMAB.

Season 1 had some moments where the animation seemed questionable. S2 is way worse, really feels like no matter what the excuses it's probably about the money. I don't even care about Leon's face at this point, but most of the other characters took a noticeable dive in quantity. For all Leon says he wants a quiet life, he really doesn't make things easy on himself. We can also guess based on previous things he's said that the original plot is probably gone well off the rails by this point.

Temu 🤣 lol Fair tho.. Ironically, I agree on the art quality being overall just lackluster, but that’s not actually the thing I’m disliking the most. Maybe it’s because I’m hearing impaired and wearing hearing aids but.. good grief, there’s just this tone quality in a lot of their voices now that I don’t remember being present in the first season, especially with Leon maybe, and it’s so annoying 🥀 It’s the tone you get when you’re nagging, like the annoying rasp, gah, it’s hard to describe. All I know is it’s really kind of taking me out of the show this season more than the visuals already are (I feel you on those, season 1 was so good why did they have to change?! lol ) Complain about that all you want, you’re not alone lol
