what an episode. When the author is telling you he's getting alcohol ready for the episode, you know it will be depressing. PEAK Tensei!

Pops its at 12:52 that they done found out they F'd up. LOL WTH would you antagonize a guy that just reacted that way to one of the bodies? Pretty sure they had a death wish... suprise MF you got what you wished.

Demon King Shin Konton

Brandon I have to say a few things 1st holy freaking PEAK i have misjudged this isekai horribly 2nd fuck the Eris haters they are dicks 3rd I just saw someone trying to defend Man God this morning Like how can you even do that after what we just saw today 4th The little sister is Best girl in this dark timeline after what Rudesu became after Losing Rocy he truly didn't deserve anyone but his little sister was still there for him up until she got killed as well

I think Slyphie would have died anyway... because Ariel failed to convince Pergius most likely because Rudy was not in a HELPFUL mind-space to help ANYONE... Sylphie IS Ariel's Knight and she would have helped her anyway and followed her on her in the civil war Ariel caused.. so no.. even if Rudy would not have whored around, she would have probably died.. Also the Milis church killed Rudy's relatives.. at some point a conflict with the church would be inevitable and the church might have killed Slyphie either by assassination or in an open conflict (this is just extrapolation)

imo level headed rudy keeps her alive because he stays involved same reason she wont end up dead this time.

While I normally prefer the novels, this was superior.

darius2222

If they showed us that before convo with Oldeus it would have much greater impact... missed chance from the director.

Stautz21

@24:41 that was Julie, the little dwarf girl

The Green Ranger

I could be wrong but I think the person with Aisha in the basement was Julie

That was intense. What made me think a lot was, that "our" Rudy has all the potential in him, he killed a lot of innocent people, tortured others, is mostly responsible for the death of his family with his deeds. All that is something Rudy is capable of. I don't think I can forget that, going forward. Well, at this point, they deeply hinted.. calling Hitogami the last boss, and the reason why he wanted Roxy dead... Probably the child. You need artefacts to get to Hitogami, and Perugius said, they probably won't be in place for many, many years. Rudys and Roxys child would be an half demon with a very long life span, probably extremely powerful, coming from two of the most powerful mages. That child might be capable of reaching and killing Hitogami.

Honestly, how could Eris communicate with him? Every time they encountered each other, he was a drunk who would berate her. I get Rudy going off the first time, but all those times after he was just acting like an ass.

They could've taken the plainer route of doing narrated diary contents with scattered visuals but they chose to let us experience the whole thing in real-time: all the suffering, all the spiraling... Truly superb direction from the animation team. This episode is also a good way for us to glimpse into what Rudy's family in the past life had to deal with. We have always had Rudy's point of view about his past suffering but his past life's family has always been a bunch of faceless people to us so maybe it's hard to connect but now get to see how his damaging spiraling affects characters we have been with a long time and grew to love. It's a glimpse at how damaging depression can be. I have heard people who haven't experienced dealing with depressed loved ones talked a good game about how people should stick by and help the depressed heal. You do, until you no longer can, until it starts to effect your own mental and physical health, and that's when you have to think self-preservation. It is a ultimately a fight to encourage them to help themselves and if they don't... eventually you have to stop and help yourself to safety. I feel for Oldeus for the hand he were dealt with in this timeline but I also don't forgive the stupid things he has done. I can only be thankful that at least he was able to have at least tiny bit of happiness before he passed on and now Rudy is armed with the knowledge to avoid ending up in the same place.

The biggest gut punches were the Eris scenes

AH Brandon Reviews

if only Eris had a handy dandy adult with strong communication and muscles next to her 🗿

It took me a moment at beginning of the episode and then I was like OH this is the diary contents/oldeus Rudy’s timeline! And yeah even though you know the basics of What’s to come actually seeing it happening throughout the episode is just intense

It seems like Man-God was actually surprised about the mass teleportation event. It threw a massive wrench in his plans. And it seems Orsted doesn't know about it either, or he would have helped Nanahoshi. Who the hell else could have done it?! The only other potential culprit might be Laplace, but I assume he can't act too much in his prison. I thought maybe Man-God was Laplace himself, but his enemies still call him Man-God. Perugius stated in season 1 that it might be an attempt to break Laplace out, but we don't have much more.

I was really worried that it was the continuation of our Rudy's timeline, then that other Rudy acted surprised at events that Oldeus already mentioned, and didn't seem to listen at all, so I figured out it was the bad timeline. It also makes sense, since last episode ended on Rudy about to open the bloody diary. The following episode is the story contained in this diary.

You had similar thoughts as me—I was hang one shouldn’t you know and then it clicked XD
