FANTASTIC episode! Everything I could have hoped for and more. Even if the show never gets a 2nd second, I'm very satisfied with this as the anime's ending. Obviously, there are still a lot of things to deal with, but taking everything from Frede and Sylvia is a good place to leave things for the time being. The last bit was excellent too. I liked seeing different characters reflect on Elizabeth's fall. It was also excellent further characterization of Rosaria, showing the way she views civilians wrapped up into things. It helps establish better where she draws the line and her own options on things beyond her job. 10/10 episode. Will be ready for a 2nd season and praying we get one.

Funnily enough, the last part is not in the manga either. So every manga-only will be spoiled of what will happen (especially the japanese ones since the latest chapters ends with Barl going to business in the baronny).

It’s so interesting that even her most loyal and ride or die followers. Start to question how far her revenge will go. As it might eat her alive. Also Rosaria’s line of “You are too kind to be evil” I wonder if she knows Elizabeth that well. Because it was a somewhat wild statement from what we have seen from her

It's not really talked about in this episode, but the civil war on Lockit's barony caused many more civilians deaths than Robert's attack. And this time, there's no excuse you can make : Elizabeth ordered it. Also funny thing, between the gold counterfeit arc and the Lockit Baronny downfall, there's an arc. When I read the Light Novel 2 years ago, I was reading it weekly, so by the time the volume arrived to its final part, I had the time to completely forget about the fact Ellie announced to Lucas she had something else planned.

I love how once again Elizabeth did control all of the chess pieces in this meeting with the one who was behind the counterfeiting. As he never stood a chance with two of who he thought was his alliances. Was actually double agents working against him. And worst is that he did know this was a trap. But went anyway and was so confident really a stupid and unwise man he was lol😂

No she doesn't know her very well. Rosaria was given the lines of another character in the anime who actually knows her very well, while Rosaria knew Elizabeth could do this, she can't imagine someone as kind as Elizabeth do things like that, while the other character knows she's capable of it (and understands her reasons). It would have been really cool to have "that" character in season 1, but without proper introduction the character would have fell flat.

I so want a season 2 so badly after this to see what Elizabeth will do next. As that is the charm with this story, you never know what she will do next. Because she is just as likely to brutally kill some people. As she is being wholesome with the employers in her company. Then I agree with you that it’s so much scarier. When somebody is talking calm and collective like Elizabeth does here

Also, Sylvia's fate is fucking diabolical. She put herself in a position of being around that piece of shit prince, and Elizabeth made sure she'd fucking regret that decision by keeping her stuck in what is now twisted into something very abusive.

I kind of think of Deneris Tagariel. She wanted to crush the wheel of slavery etc, starts by doing justified deeds, but ends up burning everything. But I think Eli is different. Deneris acted on impulse, but Elis revenge is served mostly cold. She is still fascinating how she brings joy and hapiness to her own people while bringing the worst terror for her enemies. I wonder on what base Rosalia says she is too good to be evil. Maybe just wishful thinking, so like many of the audience did. But someone who has absolutely no problem about innocent children getting slaughtered as long as it serves her revenge.. she is too far gone. Well, not that she has gone mad. She must always have been a ticking bomb and the prince activated that bomb and everyone will pay for it. Still.. she is very entertaining in a strange way. Usually, I would want her downfall immediately, but I can't help but want to see more of this.

Something not really talked about in the anime is the reason why she made very advantageous contract with Colt and accepted to sell stuff and be paid with fake money and have Blot participate in this so more fake coins could be exchanged. It's because she wanted to make the number of fake coins skyrocket and make the Kingdom pay even more than they already have to. The final amount is so high that the Kingdom didn't have any choice but give up lands to the Empire (and Lucas will get some of those lands and become a Marquis after this).

I just realize, the king's casual day-to-day outfit is an armor. That + his long scar on his jaw, Bulat lives ready to go to battle at any moment notice lol
