I hope at the end of the series (if it happens one day) people will come back to the first 2 seasons and watch how many details they missed. There's one thing (among many) I missed in the series before someone pointed it out about this episode and it blew my mind.

So the Lufas that was bashing Scorpius's head through a boulder was the old one slipping out right?

Yup... and let me tell you we're all a bunch of idiots (and I include myself in that statement xD ). The author is a genius.

Wild Last Boss' scorpion lady came first (before the rezero one). And I now realize that it sounds wrong when talking about a perverted character, but it fits so I'll leave it as is.

MF Shaula you spoil me Big time I only got to that episode 3 days ago so you been spoiling me for 3 weeks and I didn't even know it And wow I honestly believe that Lufas, Rimuru and Yogiri are the three strongest isekai MCs

I was going to say, it felt like I watched 2-3 episode with the amount of content packed into this one. I'm glad this is only episode 3, a lot more mystery to unpack. I can't tell if Dina is Goddess herself messing with us, or if she's the Goddess avatar. But she has earth knowledge and game and shit. Maybe she was human but made some sort of contract with Goddess? But I don't see a reason besides just getting power. Very interesting, looking forward to more episodes.

I loved how robot maid and sheep boy are having a casual conversation without a care as she's effortlessly killing all comers without losing a beat of the conversation.

It would be more surprising if they didn’t finish the whole series honestly. It’s only 9 books, which is really reasonable. The first season covered 2 and a half, and this season looks like it’ll stop somewhere in Book 5. (Book 5 ends at a really weird place, so I’m not sure if they’ll choose to stop it there or cut it early.) That would be 2 more seasons at that pace, for a total of 4, and each book has some side stories after the fact that they could slam a bunch of OVAs or a whole other season if they wanted. So yeah, compared to the other big fantasy light novels, Wild Last Boss is downright reasonable. This is kind of a spoiler (I’m not going to say like, one thing that hasn’t shown up yet in the anime, but would have already been briefly introduced in the lightnovel/manga) so stop here if you don’t want any risk. I mean, we’ve already gotten basically the *entire* cast for the whole series introduced, even if we haven’t physically met them yet. With- -Lufas and the 14 members of the 12 Conquering Stars (lmao) - The Hero Sei and his party, the Seven Heroes and their Nations (the surviving ones at least) - The Devil King Orm, Prince Terra, and the Seven Luminaries - And the Goddess Alovenus and her 5 Ouroboros We have all the major players in the story except for the Rulers of the Continents, and they are way less impactful as a group than everyone else anyways. I mean, they mostly* feature in the side stories anyways, and they haven’t been adapting those at all (yet).

I want to say as well, the reason that this has such good animation, is that a Wild Last Boss Appeared was originally written and published starting in 2015, at roughly, same time as juggernauts like Tensura, Overlord, Konosuba, and Re:Zero, (2014, 2012, 2013, and 2014 respectively), and then finished *before* any of them did. So it was written back when what we define as the genre of “Iskeai” was still damn new. I mean, Truck-kun as a defined trope had barely even begun to be conceived of at that point! So that means two things: One is that Wild Last Boss can’t be put in the slop bucket, because one of the characteristic things for Isekai slop is that it is just a blended mess of overdone genre tropes. The genre wasn’t established enough at the time this was written for there to *be* overdone tropes yet, or really even tropes at all. And the second was that the people who are animating this, are likely in the age range to have been *reading* Wild Last Boss growing up. Like, for a good portion of them, it probably is a part of their adolescence. And the final thing, that’s unrelated to when it was written, is that it’s just a really good f@#$ing story. Like no shade to the other shows I listed, but Wild Last Boss is the most tightly written of the lot in my opinion. Like, reading it, you can feel that from page 1 that the Author knows every single damn word they are going to write for the entire story. And this is for the Light Novel, not the manga or anime which have the benefit of hindsight. The Author sets stuff up, and pays it off. There are like, no loose threads in the story at all. It’s that tightly written. And that means a f$@#ing lot.

i think next episode will have a flashback (the one that was supposed to happen in episode 12), since we see a living Parthenos in the opening. So we'll have some backstory with the heroes at some point.

she messes with the viewers' memories too as to really keep us on our toes 🗿

Yet they had to add a filler arc after the end of the story because they didn't have enough contents for 9 volumes but too much for 8 xD
