The plot knows exactly what it is. Honestly if the MC were any more of a perv it would end up just being a hentai. With his inner monologue cut down (compared to the LN) we have to look at his actions, but basically he's a perv but he also makes a distinction between a 2d NPC when it was a game and the 3d people he's now dealing with, hence the hesitation on the escape route, etc.. the "if I'm going to die I want to see" part being what it is. By having the action, we get a plot outside the "plot" and a reason for some of the craziness. Overall I'd say it's a pretty good adaptation, the main thing to point out is the lack of transitions to show time-skips. The reason he asks about skills is he's tried multiple session to learn minds-eye, in the game you just need to try 3 times and you get it, the "reality" is different, also I don't think we need to see it, but the boss fight was longer with more details including the mechanics of how the goo trap works to his advantage. Things have already started moving off the game's plot as the dungeon was supposed to be mid-game but got moved up due to his rescue of Ludie and her wanting to go out with him changing things.

OMG I love the Haagen-Daazs parody at 3:42! I have to say, I LOVE how the pervy skill to look through clothes is used by him to have a see-through scarf when he uses it as a shield. I was expecting "check for weapons", but this works so well for his build.
