I'm the farthest thing from a huge index fan, BUT I quite liked this first episode! The Item team has a lot of potential for me

25:00 final thoughts on the episode. Let me know what you thought!

Omg you actually watched a Toaru anime on here :O Toaru is my favourite series of all time, I've watched all of it and read all the manga, and have been working my way through the light novels! Fyi, this episode was anime original, episode 2 will follow the source material. For so long I have wanted you to watch the rest of Toaru, I just don't have the money to pay for a higher plan to make you do it lol. Index is the original series, all the other ones are spinoffs. The index anime adapts the old testament portion of the light novels. After that there is New Testament, and Genesis to adapt. For Railgun the manga recently concluded and Season 4 was announced so it will likely adapt it to the end. Accelerator is generally the less-liked spinoff of the series as it has a different author that made questionable decisions for the story, especially after the events of Season 1. If you like Accelerator as a character though, he has a massive role in Railgun Season 2, and Index Season 3. There are plenty more spinoffs that haven't been adapted as well. I should mention, if you haven't finished Railgun, you definitely need to do so. Season 1 was not the greatest imo, but Season 2 and 3 are amazing. Also Season 4 will be adapting my personal favourite arc! :D The characters that you see in the item spinoff play a HUGE role in Railgun Season 2, and Index Season 3. And to a lesser extent Railgun Season 3. The world of Toaru is one giant story told through multiple series. While you CAN just watch one of them, the story is one single timeline where if you watch/read all of it, you can understand everything better. Item takes place 1 year prior to the events of Index/Railgun/Accelerator. Anyway, I'm glad your enjoying this one so far, but I would absolutely love it if you eventually did reactions to the entire anime series in release order. Including the movie. Now if only I had money for a higher tier of your Patreon to get you to do it :P

I'm glad you are reacting to this show... An Index spin off about the dark side of Academy City. I do understand that you're not a big fan of the universe as a whole... I blame how mid the Index anime is... The spin offs are great especially Railgun but the main series is so shit especially S3 where it was rushed and even the animation was shit that people just think the spin offs are the better part... But trust me... I've read a few LNs of Index and seen some of the leaks of the future arcs and moments of the LN and my goddess man the amount of PEAK that is there is next level... If only Index had a good anime, I think you would've been a fan too. Also this entire episode was anime original which is awesome considering how this could've been in the source quite easily and it wouldn't be out of place at all.
