Nanami is a great addition to the team/harem. This episode felt short. I guess we'll have to wait until next week for the rest of the school gate sequence. It's not the first to start before the academy but with 4 episodes set before the first day of school it does have a lot of events before vs just a big time skip.

I think you're right and the character in front of the gate is a tomboy. The voice is really feminine (although some female VAs do voice male characters, like Rudeus Greyrat), and the eye shape is more typical for anime women. I thought this would be the famous MC of the game, but since the anime is a harem, adding a tomboy makes sense. But the male uniform makes me doubt a bit.

Yeah, Nanami is wonderful, she's a blast to be around. I think she might well be my favorite character of the series, and I read the Light Novels. Though regarding the character our MC met at the gate, I'm going to have to pop some people's bubble here: That's the H-Game Magical Explorer's Protagonist Iori Hijiri. Not a girl.
