Good plot advancement, I think Death Game is kinda a misnomer since Nemesis Q hasn't actually offered anyone a prize just tricked people into changing the future. The money that got mentioned was for info on it which makes sense since people are randomly getting powers.

tbh you dont need a prize for it to be a game so death game still fits

This show is like Shonen meets sci-fi, which is kind of refreshing, seems like Shonen usually tries to pair more with fantasy than science fiction? I think it really implies what happens in the game, transfers to real life, particularly where the woman’s powers are concerned. Once you’re infected, the powers awaken, and that’s it, you will always have them. If you die in the game, I’ve a feeling u die in real life 🫤 So the prize of the death game kind of would then be getting to keep your life in the end if u survive if so, right? The woman’s hair just absolutely cracked me up lol

One nice detail about "Outlast Guy" is that they kept the little label on the back of his head - the original manga had a zoom-in on a label identifying him as "Alfred" when Asaga wondered "who is this guy" in Episode 2, and while the anime didn't do the zoom-in the "Alfred" label is fully legible shortly thereafter when he starts swinging Asaga around.

Fun episode, still can't believe the series is getting an anime after all these years. Still Brandon, regarding the Tavoo. They don't respawn per se, this is not a video game, but there are more, and more can be made. The Tavoo aren't training aids, they don't give EXP, they are part of the enemy's forces. Small spoiler I guess, but Nemesis Q and the Tavoo are not the same, they're not on the same side. The Tavoo are part of the future that Nemesis Q wants to change.
