Honestly, I love how this show isn't just about beating people up constantly. That part is amazing and a lot of fun, absolutely! However if it was just that, you wouldn't really get to know the characters at all, and it would get pretty stale after a while. I did notice the CG they used, but it was pretty good, and also that opening sequence went so unbelievably hard animation wise I was shocked. Insane episode!

I like the different life every volume idea, my crazy isekai I want is a show that spends an entire season or two building up characters/world just to come back first episode of the next season and kill them straight into isekai. Have always thought it would be hilarious for the second season of Lycoris Recoil to go like that.

With any two cour adaptation that is paced reasonably well you are going to get the idiots that complain about it being slow much like Daemons. I for one as a big fan of the LN here am just so incredibly happy with the job they are doing.

Her body not looking like it is aging at all is my biggest pet peeve with this story. She should've looked much younger at 4 even if she wasn't sick, but her being as ill as she was means that her body wouldn't have grown as much as it should. She should've looked at most 3 years old at 4. There should then have been a timeskip montage or something like that. From her getting healthier and starting growing normally again up to her being 6-8 years old. And THAT is when the theater arc should have happened. Then the timeskip from the end of this episode up to the start of the school arc. It doesn't make sense for their school boarding arc to start when they are 6 years old. She should have been close to 10 years old at that point instead and that would have been the right age for her present look in the anime.

really good combat CG, studio really knew what they were doing with the camera and models... had to double take, because I didn't notice the transition at first. I hope we don't get too many of the "eww all CG is bad crowd" Lynokis continues to be my favourite character... but yeah someone needs to check her hard drives. And I think I finally have to admit it, girl's a psycho, High Functioning, but still a psycho.

Oh my god, Nia Liston has pretty much the same motivation as The Beast from Kung Fu Hustle! "I am only here to kill you, or be killed by you." Well, maybe not that intense, since she hasn't killed anyone yet.

The attention to detail that Konami is putting into this is PHENOMENAL. The movement during the play scene is EXACTLY how a stage play would do it; huge flourishes with every movement for the back row of the theater to follow the action. The shadow of the ship's ropes on the painted backdrop is an excellent touch as well. This is clearly someone's passion project and I'm loving it.

I think your complain about how the age don't fit her looks is likely the anime cutting corners a bit. From the end of this episode they're already two years from the start so she should be six now, so they didn't want to make designs for her for all the little ages differences when it would be used for only a few starting episodes and instead went already with the design that may fit her looks for most of the show. You see something similar with mushoku season 1, part 2. At least a few years passed between the first and last episode of that part of season 1, but they made rudeus look about the same instead of gradually growth during it, even though he was at an age where you would expect a lot of change each year, leaving the bigger change for when the next season started.
