Small detail that I think you mixed up: The +25 stat boost is not given to the wielder of the sword, but instead is a permanent boost to Grid himself for having created a legendary weapon. (You mentioned it when he presented the sword to the royals, arguing that it's such a great sword because of the boost, so I took that as a mixup. If you meant it differently, then I apologise for me misunderstanding you.) PS: I also absolutely LOVED how Grid corrected his father about the dad having to pay him back 24.8 million, not just 24 million. He's such a hilarious scumbag.

Wow, nice. Stakes are here. We have a reason to do what we do. I am not going to be easy on such shows but this is great. Normally they use luck as the deus ex machine for MC, this is at least funny when they pull it. At the moment the best new show for me.

It is a bit frustrating that the MC doesn't understand that his parents just want evidence that playing the game can be profitable, and that he has the skills to make money, but he is clearly young and dumb, so I can accept that. The thing about him being unlucky that he didn't wait and sell his sword later is debatable. He needed the money now, as proof that he could quit his job for game money. He also wasn't sure he could have made more later either (value could have dropped), and a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. With hindsight 20/20 of course, he could have done better, but that doesn't mean that this choice was bad.
