FF every game has people acting like the new one isn't like the old ones and a hobby of mine is to just stir the pot and watch FF fans argue the same things people where arguing back when 7 released. it's my favorite argument cycle in gaming and it honestly brings me joy

I didn’t know this has often been an issue since I have never fully understood the series. Although I’m curious how 1-16 all connect storywise

they're all their own stories besides the ones that are two parters. each game does something different and there has never been one style of FF but some fans delude themselves into thinking there is a right way because of their bias. I like them all

Ya that makes sense. I could see a similar argument honestly for Zelda games since a lot of them are different from each other too. Whether it’s the graphics, mechanics or story. It’s just that argument never comes up since fans maybe like the diversity more I suppose
