Wish upon the Stars chapter 1193 (Patreon)

Finding a private place to check my stats wasn’t too hard. We were going to be here for a while, so Terrence offered us guest rooms. Callie, knowing my plans for the moment, excused herself and left me to my own devices, and before long I was alone in our new rooms ready to check up on all my details.
I had to admit, the place was nicer than expected. Despite the brown stone walls, the floor was lushly carpeted and there was an actual waterfall leading into a two level fish tank full of brightly colored fish against the back wall. It was very soothing.
The bed was pretty soft, and I flopped down on it, doing a mental tally of all my gains over the last few months as a prerequisite to finding my next template. Among other things, the last four months had yielded an absurd fourteen hundred or so scrolls, and my rank up had improved my per scroll cap as well. I’d used most of the ones I had already, with only about seventy seven on me right now that I’d gathered over the last week. I had plans to use them on Callie, so I wouldn’t be spending those, but the ones I’d already used had definitely contributed heavily to my current power.
And of course I had some stats waiting from recent renown gain, and not exactly a small amount of them. I’d been busy on the war front, binding twelve pages in four months, and it had earned me a lot of attention from peers and subordinates alike. My Wishmaster title got me their interest, but I was the one who had to earn their belief. And with belief, of course, came stats.
I was already pretty decently far into A-rank, actually. The full set of A-rank elixirs I’d gotten from the frozen moment academy, combined with my initial hundred million, combined with the bump from all my accomplishments, meant this burst of stats was likely to push me to about a quarter of the way through. With a thought, the purple flames rolled over my vision as I checked my stats.

The changes were earthshattering. Not only had most of my court reached tier 8, several had reached tier 9, putting them on par with me. It was especially clear that binding pages enhanced the talent of demons, and I’d bound my final twelve for Song of Arcadia, determined to get that particular demon to tier 9 as soon as possible.
My enhanced soul and body (Impact was good stuff) had pushed the cap on my per scroll points up by a hundred and fifty percent, Cosmic Waltz had been hard at work expanding my Domain to one hundred and eight miles, not to mention the raw enhancement from the rank up, and on top of all of that, I’d managed to make several more timepieces with my time off, stabilizing multiple powerful demons and perfecting their abilities further.
My stats were absurd, mostly because of the hundred million flat I’d gotten from the elixirs, and the bulk scroll income, boosted as it was after rank up. Of course, that quick progress was just the explosive growth at the beginning of a rank, and was unlikely to be maintainable without access to those elixirs, but still, it was mindblowing to see what all my preparations had been worth.
It was a hell of a start, but if I wanted to keep it going, I needed explosive renown growth. My gains from high ranking foes were big, but they tended to taper off quickly. Ascendant growth was very much a matter of what have you done for me lately.
One of the most glaring problems though, had to be my Focus. Just like I’d suspected, it had skyrocketed. I was pretty sure the credit I got at the Academy for foiling a Void Overgod’s plot to break free and kill us all had paid dividends there. But having it outstrip my Perception so heavily was leading to me drifting off into thought like I used to when I was starting out. A nearly two to one Focus to Perception gap wasn’t crippling, but it wasn’t a good thing either.
I’d been planning to rebalance somewhat with the scrolls I had, but the difference was extreme enough that they wouldn’t have done that much good. Just shy of two million points wasn’t going to fix the problem, so leaving those scrolls to Callie was still the best choice in the end.
Standing up, I stretched widely, feeling my muscles shift and contract as they got used to the new points. It wasn’t anything crazy, in terms of percentage. Only a few tens of millions across all my stats, and with my Domain as large and stable as it was now, I had zero problem withstanding the influx comfortably. At this point, it was just a pleasant tingle, a drop in an otherwise massive bucket, and I couldn’t deny how good that felt.
I was STRONG. Not top tier, not among my family and friends, but still. Zeke had broken through a few years ago, and had been active in the war since stepping down as my guardian, and both my parents had been A-rank for quite a while. I was expecting them to be close to the peak of their ranks rather than the bottom like me.
Still, the fact that I was AT the same rank as them at all was…mindblowing. When I first stepped onto this path, I’d honestly never really considered what it would be LIKE to be this powerful. I’d planned to become a god eventually, mind, but it had been abstract.
Now I was almost positive I’d get there, and it wouldn’t be too much longer in the grand scheme of things. I was already standing at a level the past me had never even conceived of, with my Domain and my demons making me one of the strongest at my rank, even if the raw stats were still disparate enough that I probably wasn’t punching at the TOP of that weight class. Callus hadn’t even had D-rankers when I first awakened my power.
And A-rank was firmly in the upper tier of the universe in terms of both hard and soft power. Even outside my position as Wishmaster I had influence now. It was kind of overwhelming.
But I also knew I had a long way to go still. I grounded myself with memories of the Frozen Moment Academy, where gods were teachers and the Deans were Overgods. Not to mention the Void, still waiting in the dark for us to dive in and try to take a portion of it for ourselves.
Taking a deep breath, I prepared myself to head back out to join the others. We would be exploring the library a bit before we had dinner tonight, and I wanted to get eyes on as many flames as possible. Dantalion’s current power level was A-rank, so with the staff boosting him I was looking at S-rank capability.
I’d need to upgrade my staff soon, actually, and my armor possibly too. They both served their purpose better when they were a rank higher. That said, it wouldn’t be quick or easy to get the armor improved. Finding that many compatible S-rank materials would be a nightmare. At least it was just a suit of armor and not a ship. Those were basically impossible to finish because of the resource scarcity here.
Another reason to venture into the Void, hopefully I would find some interesting materials to work with. After this trip I would contact my ancestor about mounting an expedition. Until then, I’d better go find the others before they got too far into the tour without me.
