Um, by magic book, you don’t mean the Darkhold, right? Because that would be incredibly stupid without a couple of mind protecting abilities or traits.

Pretty sure he means the fire magic book he rolled, though I'd have to go back and check. Also finding the Darkholde might not be the worst idea. It only messes with you if you open it, and even getting your hands on it would net a hell of a ticket.

Oh, fire magic book, makes more sense. Also, the Darkhold might be a good idea to get, but I’m pretty sure it whispers to you even if the book is closed. And even if it doesn’t, it isn’t a good idea to mess around with it until you get a really good mental and spiritual protection.

Nah, Radcliffe was a normal guy and he actively resisted opening it. He outright refused to look inside until he was forced to, because he could instinctively tell if he opened it there'd be no going back.
