NOTICE: New Charges for IPhone and iOS users (Patreon)

Hey gang,

I almost forgot to mention that Patreon started rolling out a new charge for Apple users as of February 2025.

According to Patreon: "All purchases of memberships and shop items through the Patreon iOS app will now include Apple’s 30% App Store fee." And from what I understand, that's a constant charge, so you'd be paying that extra 30% every month. And just to clarify, I don't make any of that, that's all profit to Apple.

To work around this, I recommend signing up with a web browser or another device. Then you should be able to use the Apple app with no issues and no extra charge.

For anyone that's signed up with the extra 30% charge, let me know and I'll try to refund you. You should be able to unsubscribe and re-subscribe if you wish as well on another device, so you avoid that extra charge. I'll go through the Patron list tomorrow and send a message to anyone I notice is paying the extra charge as well. I think this new charge is BS, so I'd like to help y'all avoid it if possible.
