Dev Notes #8: What’s Next for Moving to the Freeuse World? (Patreon)

Hey Freeworlders! 💕

Now that the demo is officially out, we wanted to talk about what’s next for Moving to the Freeuse World.

Our current goal is to release a major update every 4–5 months. With that in mind, here’s our overarching plan for the next update:

Advance the main story into Day 2. Day 1 served as the prologue, while Day 2 continues the MC and Clara’s journey through Freeuse World. While moderately shorter than Day 1, it introduces cultural conflict between Freeworlders and Prude Worlders.

Add the winning character from the Side Character Vote, including their introductory questline.

Introduce the opening quest for Amy & Clyde.

Add approximately 8 new sex scenes alongside 2 “steamy scenes”, which are animated CGs that aren't sex scenes but extremely sexually charged.

Current Development Pipeline

Right now, our biggest bottleneck is background art.

Our workflow generally looks like this:

Script Outline → Background Art → Full Script Writing → CGs / Scene Production → Animation → Voice Acting

Background art acts as the “glue” for nearly every other department. It influences the script, CG composition, animated scenes, voice acting, etc.

Thankfully, most of the main story background art is already complete. However, development for the winning side character hasn’t started yet since the vote is still ongoing.

Finally, here are a few background art previews we’ve completed so far!

(And we decided to knock out the Mourningwood exterior for funsies.)

NPC Creation Voting

One of the features we’re most excited about is NPC Creation Voting.

These polls allow supporters to directly influence NPC design by voting on things such as:

Ethnicity

Hair color / hairstyle

Personality

Archetypes

Kinks

Other physical characteristics

Outfits will still match the character’s environment and storyline. For example:

If Sierra & Mike win, NPCs would fit a nightclub aesthetic

If Darla wins, the designs would lean more rural / cowgirl-inspired

If Qingyu wins, the NPCs would follow a medical theme

That being said, all NPC themes will inevitably make it in-game. It's just who joins us first!

The NPC creation polls will be hosted in a separate document linked through Patreon. Since these polls are designed specifically for our dear supporters, please avoid sharing them publicly!

The NPC creation vote will begin either:

About a week before the Side Character Vote ends (if there’s a clear winner), or

Immediately afterward if the results are extremely close.
