Dev Notes #9: Day 2 Progress Is Moving Fast (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

Time for another development update on Moving to the Freeuse World.

To put it simply: development has been moving really fast lately.

Ever since we received all of the main story background art for Day 2, progress has accelerated dramatically.

Update Progression

For Day 2’s main story, we had a total of 17 art assets on our to-do list.

Out of those 17 assets, 12 are now complete.

In addition to those art assets, we also had 7 background illustrations scheduled for Day 2, and we’re happy to report that all 7 are now finished. 🎉

At the moment, Beleven, our BG artist, is working on background art for Darla’s introductory side quest, our winner for the Side Character Vote!

That side quest requires 4 new backgrounds, and we’re already halfway there - 2 are complete, with only 2 remaining.

Writing Progress

All writing for Day 2’s main quest is officially complete.

The full script currently sits at roughly 7,000 words.

As mentioned in Dev Notes #8, Day 2 is moderately shorter than Day 1, but it introduces a major culture conflict between Freeworlders and Prude Worlders, so there’s still a lot of meaningful story progression packed into it.

Sex Scene Production

We’ve finalized the sex scene count for this update.

In total, we’re planning 11 scenes:

9 animated

2 static

Art-wise, 4 out of the 11 scenes are already complete.

None have a finished animation yet, but once our artists and animators fully shift onto sex scene production, we expect progress to ramp up very quickly.

NPC Creation Voting

NPC Creation voting is still ongoing!

This poll lets our supporters help create a brand-new NPC from scratch for Darla’s side quest, covering everything from appearance and personality to voice type and outfit.

At this point, there’s only one vote remaining.

That final vote is for Permanent Residency supporters and will begin on June 14th.

Permanent Residency supporters will get to vote on which character receives the next animated scene.

This includes characters such as:

Lucy

Amy & Clyde

Bored Girl

Philli & Letitia

And more

After the winning character is selected, I’ll personally meet with supporters to discuss what kind of scene dynamics interest them most.

They’ll be able to pitch whatever wild ideas they have in mind.

From there, I’ll choose the strongest concept - ideally something memorable, creative, and just the right amount of surreal.

Release Window

Overall, development has been progressing at an incredibly strong pace.

Right now, we still anticipate being on track for an early October 2026 release.

That said… if development continues at its current speed, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we landed somewhere in August or September instead.
