Hey Freeworlders!

Development on the next update has been moving incredibly fast over the past few weeks, and we're excited to share where everything currently stands.

Update Progress

We're now down to the final stretch of production.

For Day 2 of the main story, 16 out of 17 major art assets are now complete. The only remaining asset is a large CG sequence set inside the Pump & Dump Diner, consisting of 11 unique illustrations. We anticipate this final asset will be completed within the next week or two.

On top of that, all artwork for Darla's introductory side quest is now complete. Once you arrive at Milk & Honey House, you'll meet our newest side character and experience the beginning of Darla's storyline.

Even better, every background illustration required for both Day 2 and Darla's quest has been finished.

In fact, we've already begun preparing backgrounds for the update after this one - and we're already about 50% complete on those as well.

As for our sex scenes, all 10 sex scenes (8 animated, 2 static) are now fully illustrated. The remaining work is animation itself. Four scenes still need to be animated, making animation our biggest bottleneck before release.

If development continues at its current pace, we fully expect to release the update in August. If not, September at the absolute latest.

What's Next?

Our current focus is playtesting.

I'm currently doing a full playthrough on PC to identify bugs, scripting issues, dialogue mistakes, and any other problems that slipped through development.

Once all remaining assets have been completed and implemented, we'll likely host another round of community playtesting across PC, Mac, and Android before release to make sure everything is as polished as possible.

Meet Riley!

Our community-created NPC finally has a name!

Meet Riley, a country tomboy who works as a ranch hand at Darla's Milk & Honey House.

Confident, competitive, and never one to back down from a challenge.

She was created almost entirely through your votes, so thank you to everyone who participated in NPC Creation. It's been awesome watching this character come together from scratch, and we can't wait for everyone to meet her in-game.

Voice Acting Going Forward

After a lot of discussion, we've decided to pause voice acting for future updates.

Voice acting is something we value greatly, but it's also one of the most expensive and time-consuming parts of development.

For now, we'd rather focus those resources on creating more content, improving update releases, and continuing to expand the game.

At this time, I can't guarantee whether or when voice acting will return. That decision will ultimately depend on our budget and the long-term growth of the project.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who has enjoyed the performances in the demo, and we hope this allows us to deliver future updates much more efficiently.

Coming Soon: Native Freeworlder Tier

We're also excited to announce a brand-new Patreon tier arriving before the next update.

Introducing the Native Freeworlder tier!

Supporters who remain on this tier for four consecutive months will have the opportunity to become a permanent part of Moving to the Freeuse World.

Working alongside our artists, you'll be able to:

Create your own custom background character

Choose their body type, hairstyle, outfit, pose, and overall aesthetic

Collaborate with our artists to refine the final design

Permanently place your character into a background of your choosing

Become canon in Moving to the Freeuse World

We're really excited about this perk because it gives our biggest supporters the chance to literally leave their mark on Freeuse World forever.

That's all for this month's Dev Notes!

As always, thank you all so much for your continued support. Seeing development move this quickly has been incredibly motivating, and we're looking forward to getting the next update into your hands very soon.

See you next month! πŸ’•

I wasn't the most fond of the voice acting, so I won't mourn it. And it was a bit jarring and akward to have David not voiced has you had to switch from listening to reading every so often. It was a selling point for your game, mostly because so few games of this genre have it. But at least now you can rewrite lines of dialgue without having to worry about calling back the voice actress. So if you decide to add back the feature, I would advice for waiting for the game to be near finish.
