slowly but surely still working on it, wanted to get a bit more done before the end of the month but stuff prevented me from working as much as I'd like on this. a couple of stupid errors consumed too much time.

I try to avoid rambling on these posts because I also post them in Japanese for Fanbox and fixing machine translations can be a pain in the ass, but I think this time I'll just dump my thoughts.

first, the poll results for the most popular characters (Patreon + Fanbox) are:

Tall

Gal

Brat

Sweet

Crazy

Nerd

Tomboy

next, I'm getting to the part where I have to decide how to display the character close-ups. the complicated thing with shrinking is the clothes and what to do with them. I'm very open to suggestions.

imagine a character shrinking, the smaller she gets, clothes start falling to the floor. let's say the character at 40% is just wearing an oversized shirt, but if she grows back she will still be just wearing the shirt until she recovers her other clothing articles (example lost clothing in front of Gal, won height vs Brat). drawing this would be a pain in the ass because I would have to consider a lot of different combinations.

wish I had the time to sketch up a couple of examples to better show what I mean, but hopefully the description is good enough.

now, I can handle this many ways. the easiest one would be having the clothes shrink with the character and just scale down the character.

another possibility is setting up tiers and drawing those, such as character at 100%, 70%, 40% and 10% height. can also shrink with or without clothes.

another idea I had is having different clothes, since the idea is that this is happening in some kind of Squid Game deal where the girls are in a casino, forced to compete for size and only one of them will make it out. the clothes would be:

100%: Bunnysuit

70%: Reverse Bunnysuit

40%: Nude

and those clothes would just shrink with the character until the next tier where it would completely change.

I don't know if anything made sense, but feel free to comment and let me know if you have any questions or ideas on how to handle this.

I'm no expert on how game engines work. But perhaps you could draw modulable sprites for the characters and clothes. Putting an anchor point on both the sprite of the character and the clothes would also allow others to pick up different clothes too.

Feel ita a good idea to have the clothes stay the same size and fall of as they get smaller but the mechanic of picking them back up like you said creates a lot more work in figuring out what size this clothing combo would look like and would create hundreds of combinations. Tbh i like the bunnysuit idea where the outfit is universally the same across all girls and stays the same size when they shrink, as well i had an idea when reading this for there to be different outfits that you could find and equip that provide different stats that could help depending on how things are set up and such, that way it still is having to draw each of the outfits you could find on thr protag and mb under certain circumstances the other girls could find one of the outfits like if you dont find the maid outfit and are a particular percentage in height the brat finds it and benifits from the effects or something like that, idk of that is a good idea or not but thought id at least say it lol, cant wait for more updates

I really liked the different clothes the characters had, it helped to distinguish their different personalities, so I personally would like to see their outfits kept. Having said this, I also don't mind a little bit of inconsistency with the clothes the characters are wearing; if Tomboy shrinks out of some of her clothes and then gains height back, as an example, it wouldn't bother me if it was the same sprite as before. That's just me though, I'm sure it'll come out well regardless

I sincerely think that it would be easier for you if you did it like in the first shrink poker that there was a design from 100% to 10% and that when you win they only return to the Previous design, because I feel that if clothes shrink with it or if I change it, it takes away It's a bit fun, it's always fun to see a girl with her baggy clothes, although you could make her expressions change depending on the character, for example, one girl blushes but becomes more and more shy, or another girl becomes more and more flirtatious. or angry to highlight their personalities. Maybe another thing is that you could do a protagonist NPC and have him face the others one by one, so maybe you could save yourself from making so many drawings instead of a random NPC vs random NPC
