Last week, we finished implementing the first complete custom buildable piece in Subnautica! No, not the Hydra dock! That was the first custom base piece, but not complete by far!The Auto Bulkhead is now complete though! It works the same as any other bulkhead, being able to place it between different base pieces to stop water from flowing between them.Unlike regular bulkheads however, it opens automatically when you get close, saving you precious time if you base is under attack! This turned out to be almost as complex as implementing an actual base piece, but our modders did an amazing job and managed to find a way to do it!In other news, our concept artists have been busy on more <REDACTED> concept art, which is essential for the story of call of the void! You'll get to see all these after the mod releases, to avoid spoilers :)Our 3D artists have also been working on more creature models!Personally, i've been struggling with Subnautica textures again, but I'm sure I'll figure out a way to make them look good eventually 😅The first custom islands are SUPER close to being complete, and we're just putting finishing touches on them before implementing them!I'll upload a post after this one showing off the progress! Thanks for all your support, and I'll SEA you next week! <3

The animations and everything look amazing, the only thing I suggest is that you might scale it up a bit. If you scale the size up to to take up the space above it a little it'll feel more like a full size door. Most base pieces (even if they're the right size in games) tend to look small or cramped if put in a first person perspective. Hence why a lot of assets appear oversized next to an actual player model.

It's the exact same size as the base-game bulkhead :)

Now the really $$$ question is: can this be put in corridors between directly connected base rooms
