I kind of felt half bad for the guy Aria burned, but the entitlement this chapter removes any lingering empathy for him. I mean he was threatening his allies, which is a big no no in war. Aria suspected he had a reputation last chapter and looks like he has a bad one. On top of attacking everyone friend and foe alike.

Wonder what happens if you cut the burn off. A missing section of skin with some pain medicine is better than constant burning o.0

Yes, that is why it was only half bad. He deserves punishment, but a permanent painful would when he will live for centuries is a bit much before we see his perspective.

Also, what if they were penal soldiers. Criminals who serve as a change to get around worse sentences. would make sense if you have a commander with fire control or targeting issues.

Pretty sure it burns your soul. Even if he were to die and be resurrected with a new body, he would still have the burn.
