It was described as black. There is red mixed into the purple poison in the image as described in the story as well.

Oh. Neat. I thought all the destruction touched beings had red cracks. Seemed to be the theme of even the offensive destruction abilities.

The spider's crimson cracks are underneath its carapace. They aren't as clear since they live underground and weren't exposed to the King of Destruction's destruction mana as much as the others. (the wyrm lives closer to the volcano so it still has the cracks despite living underground as well)
