Jake was knocked out when Aria's planet was initialized, wasn't he? I would have assumed he'd have had some kind of reaction to learning that she was Death, even if they did have suspicions beforehand. Apparently not though.

It was explained that he was unconscious long before the initialization. So no, he didn't get a notification. He wasn't conscious to get one.

They already knew she was most likely going to be Death, so that wasn't a surprise. And he had more important things on his mind then than commenting on something he already knew to be most likely true getting confirmed. That's also assuming he didn't just look it up before contacting Lucilia. Since no one ever said the very first thing he did after waking up was call her.
