The Grand Hall

“I propose a universal bill regarding the ability to assign a proxy with full signing rights on all documents on behalf of national leaders,” Shirogane declares from his seat around the Grand Table. Not surprising the other Grand representatives seated around the Grand Table, which serves as the council for the entire universe. Deciding the most important laws enforced by the Grands represented at the table.

Grands including the Eternal Dynasty, the Rex Dynasty of the Dead, the Crimson Empire, the Grand Silvanian Empire, and the Arcadian Society.

However, recent events have changed the nations represented at the table. Completely removing the Arcadian Society and instead adding the Council of Darkness amongst their number now that the Council’s leader’s curse is fading and the Arcadian Society is no longer a Grand.

No one here is surprised by the sudden proposal because everyone here knows that the Crown Prince of the Eternal Dynasty has been dealing with the Horseman of Death’s adopted children and closest friends constantly pestering him for years to add this law. All so that they don’t have to wait centuries for some of their developmental plans just to get the Horseman’s signature on documents.

And since this proposal has been expected for so long, all of the representatives already have their leaders’ responses prepared.

“Approved,” the Duke of the Dark Legion declares immediately on behalf of the Rex Dynasty of the Dead. Following which he narrows his eyes slightly to look at the other representatives around the table in case any of them decide to reject the proposal.

“Approved, of course,” Adrian Crimson, the Prince of the Crimson Empire, declares with his arms crossed and his eyes just as narrowed as the duke’s.

“Likewise approved,” the Archduke of the Grand Silvanian Empire states with a nod of his head.

“Approved,” one of the members of the Council of Darkness declares, making the proposal a unanimous one.

“Then the bill will be passed,” Shirogane says with the corners of his mouth quirking upwards ever so slightly. Feeling very satisfied with this outcome.

Because it means Ruby, Ryan, and Nerissa will stop pestering him every time they see him.

“The bill will be set into universal law in three months’ time to allow all nations to update their documentations and legal processes,” Shirogane continues. “All national leaders will be granted the right to choose a proxy to sign documents on their behalf. The leaders may grant specific rights for specific types of documents, including but not limited to business documents, political documents, war documents, and more.”

None of the representatives raise any objections, leading to the meeting turning onto the next subject of discussion.

“The next matter is the suspicious lack of famine energy in the universe,” Shirogane states, moving to one of the most critical topics of the meeting. “It has led to suspicions of the potential birth of a new Horseman of Famine.”

“Impossible,” the Duke of the Dark Legion says without hesitation. “It hasn’t been long enough. Something else must be absorbing the famine energy somehow.”

“Agreed,” the Archduke of the Grand Silvanian Empire says with a nod of his head. “Previous accounts of Horseman deaths have shown that it takes at least a hundred thousand years at the bare minimum for a new Horseman to be born after the last Horseman’s death.”

“Could it be the work of another Horseman? Or maybe the Demon King?” Adrian asks while tapping his finger on the table.

“The Horseman of War is currently causing chaos on the capital planet of the Rein Empire, spending the last weeks chasing the Horseman of Death’s cat companion around the planet for unknown reasons,” Shirogane says, having been well apprised and confused about the situation. “And the Horseman of Death was stuck inside of an Ant Hive Queen for weeks as well.”

A brief moment of silence spreads through the chamber before Adrian completely ignores the bizarre actions of his beloved baby sister and says, “In that case, the situation of the famine energy must be related to either the Demon King or the Horseman of Pestilence.”

“Which leads us to the next matter of discussion,” Shirogane continues. “The Demon King is still in hiding and requires significant effort to find and exterminate permanently thanks to his demon body hopping, so I propose we turn our next target to the Horseman of Pestilence.”

Waves of agreement quickly flood the chamber without a single objection.

“With the proposition passed, we should quietly spend the rest of the time Pestilence has agreed to Aria’s prior condition to prepare for our assault on his planet,” Shirogane finishes. “If things go well, we should be able to take out the second most dangerous Horseman of the three Horseman threats. We will focus on the Demon King once the Horseman of Pestilence is dealt with.”

And after he hears one last round of agreements fill the hall, Shirogane declares the ending of the meeting. Which is repeated by the other representatives in the chamber before the meeting officially ends and the various representatives teleport out of the chamber.

Of course, the first thing Shirogane does after returning to his ship is open the news feed from the capital planet of the Rein Empire. Where he sees news covering a certain cat that never lets him pet it running away from the Horseman of War.

And just like with what Asher does to Shirogane when he tries to pet him, Asher is repeatedly swatting away Lucius’ hand every time the Horseman gets close enough and tries to pet him.

It’s clear to Shirogane’s eyes that the Horseman is just messing around. Otherwise he wouldn’t have any difficulty catching and keeping the cat in place.

Lucius is just too powerful as a Grand himself and a Horseman.

But he’s letting the cat run and swat his hand away. Almost like he’s teasing and messing with the cat.

War seems to like that cat… but Asher certainly doesn’t like him.

Asher is gonna be pissed. I can’t imagine all the things that are gonna be knocked off of counters in the ship

He's going to look at Aria like you owe me so much fish and wine.
