When I accept the quest, another message appears in my vision. One with additional details about said quest.

The Quantum Balancer has betrayed the System, the people of the universe, and the universe itself. He has destroyed the Universe’s Core, taken control of billions of innocent beings including both sentient and non-sentient beings, and is attempting to slay the Quantum Enforcer with these beings.

Their current locations are now being marked on a special map made by the System for this quest. Please travel to their location as soon as possible.

Should the Quantum Balancer succeed and slay the Quantum Enforcer, the security of the universe will significantly decrease. Additionally, order will fall apart with the successful betrayal of one of the universe’s defenders.

Therefore, the quest is of the utmost importance.

Please complete it as soon as possible.

It feels like the System is begging me at some point in this description…

Well, whatever. Doesn’t really matter to me since I’m planning on going to complete the quest now anyway.

On a side note, the quest shouldn’t be too difficult. Especially since the Quantum Enforcer won’t just sit around and take the hits.

Meaning this should be a two versus one situation. With me and the Quantum Enforcer fighting the Quantum Balancer.

Of course, the Quantum Enforcer isn’t the greatest at direct combat. Since his focus is the time magic branch of quantum magic.

But he can probably hold off the billions of people who are being controlled without killing them.

Because, unlike with when I fought in the trial, I can’t exactly slaughter all of the people he’s controlling without hesitation this time. That would be millions or even billions of dead, innocent people.

And, while sure a lot of them will be non-sentient monsters and animals, a lot will be sentient people from the Dimensional Blocks.

The Quantum Enforcer should be able to freeze the sentient people being controlled in time as I fight against the Quantum Balancer and the rest of the controlled creatures. Assuming the Quantum Enforcer is willing to work with me.

If they’re not willing to work with me…

Actually, now that I think about it, can regular beings even hurt me?

Probably if they’re Ascendant Tier, but anything Tier 5 and below probably can’t even hurt me. My physical immunity and my magical defenses should make that impossible.

Hmm. I should decide on that when I arrive to see the situation.

With that thought in mind, I look at the large map that quickly opens in my vision the moment I think about it. At which point I find the exact location of the conflict.

Dimensional Block #200.

So, after a brief break to rest for a moment, I begin teleporting straight over there. Which only takes a few moments to do thanks to my Ascendant Tier skill.

And when I arrive, I find the situation to be… a lot worse than I was expecting.

There is an enormous army for as far as the eye can see made out of both monsters and people. With the people making up about sixty percent of the force.

Amongst the people, the vast majority of them are Tier 4. Meaning they aren’t a threat to me. At most, there are a few dozen Ascendants amongst the billions of people.

But the problem is amongst the monsters. Because, despite there only being about forty percent of the forces as monsters, the monsters are a lot stronger on average than the people.

The weakest monsters amongst the forces are Tier 5s, meanwhile there are over a thousand Ascendant Tier monsters amongst them.

This is just ridiculous.

How the hell did the Quantum Balancer even find these? Does the Quantum Balancer have some sort of skill related to finding monsters or something?

There’s one other problem though.

Or, rather, more than one problem.

For one, the Quantum Balancer is once again bouncing back and forth between bodies amongst the billions of mind-controlled beings in his forces. But the other big problem is that the Quantum Balancer clearly has no interest in the regular people.

Considering that he’s using them as sacrifices. Blowing them up like bombs whenever they get close to the Quantum Enforcer.

Even when the Quantum Enforcer, who is known to be obsessed with justice, freezes the people in time to save them, the Balancer just blows them up. Almost as if to spite him.

Fucking hell. Does this mean there’s no way to save these people at all?!

It’s clear that the Quantum Balancer is trying to kill off the people just to piss off the Quantum Enforcer. Since he’s not blowing up any of the monsters.

Almost like he only got a massive number of people in his forces just to use them as bombers to demotivate the Quantum Enforcer. All while he’s using the monsters as his actual force.

I grit my teeth as I watch for a moment, just trying to figure out how to deal with this situation. And it doesn’t take long for me to remember the new skill I just got for my True Form.

With that skill in mind, I go ahead and look at the skill’s description again. Then a faint smile emerges on my face and I teleport straight into the forces before grinning at the sight of the Quantum Balancer’s variant quantum energy beginning to be absorbed by my body just from me being here.

Even without it being used against me.

Right. While the skill limited regular quantum energy to that which is used against me, it didn’t limit the variant quantum energy.

So if I manage to absorb the variant energy from these mind-controlled people…

I watch before quickly finding the people to be regaining their senses after I absorb all of the energy in them. Meanwhile the Quantum Balancer and Enforcer, who finally notice my presence, both show absolutely shocked expressions at what I’m doing.

It looks like I’ve found the solution.
