Alan Pioneer News
“Hello, and welcome to Alan Pioneer News! Your foremost source of Pioneer News!” Alan exclaims. “And today we’re talking about what everyone is talking about! Yes! We’re talking about the new Official Pioneer, Aqua Azuranth! Now, some of you may not be fully aware of all the differences that exist between an Official Pioneer and a regular Pioneer! And we’re here to explain that for you!”
“Hey, Alan,” Rodrick starts while turning to Alan who is seated behind the counter next to him. “When was the last time we got a new Official Pioneer?”
Alan turns to his co-host as he answers, “The last Official Pioneer was named quite a while ago. Entire decades ago. Which makes this the first new Official Pioneer in quite some time!”
“Right?” Rodrick asks before turning to face the camera. “Then what do you say we get into the nitty gritty details about the Official Pioneers?”
“Sounds good!” Alan exclaims with a clap of his hands as he turns toward the camera too. “Official Pioneers are Pioneers who have successfully survived to become the highest level being on their Pioneer Planet. Thereby making the System and Alliance officially grant them ownership of the planet! Unlike regular Pioneers, Official Pioneers have no requirements to broadcast anymore! Which is one of the biggest differences between them!”
“This doesn’t mean Official Pioneers don’t broadcast anymore and just disappear from the public eye!” Rodrick exclaims, taking the spotlight. “No, in fact, it’s usually the opposite! People focus on Official Pioneers more even though they usually broadcast themselves less!”
“But they do still broadcast themselves!” Alan interjects with a finger held up. “Official Pioneers are busier thanks to being the owners of their planet, but they usually still make the time to broadcast. And why is that?!” Before Rodrick can answer, Alan continues while spreading his arms out, “Because Official Pioneers get paid for their broadcasts, unlike regular Pioneers! Viewers can make donations to the Pioneers, and the Pioneers receive all of those donations without any of it being taken by any other party! The only requirement by the alliance is that the Official Pioneers must spend at least a third of the earnings on the development of their planet.”
Alan and Rodrick turn their attention towards the screen that appears behind them showing Aqua as she begins to mess around with her new privileges on her broadcast.
“As you can see Aqua doing right now, Official Pioneers also have several privileges that regular Pioneers don’t have,” Alan continues. “For one, Official Pioneers have administrator rights over their own broadcast. They can ban users, mute users, make users moderators on their broadcasts, and they can even record and upload their own broadcasts onto the System for people to rewatch whenever they please!”
“A lot of the restrictions and requirements for Pioneers vanish when they become Official Pioneers,” Rodrick adds with a nod of his head. “All to motivate them to broadcast.”
“Well, yeah,” Alan adds while smiling a little at Aqua going on a banning spree for anyone who mentions the #MinerAqua in the chat. “Official Pioneers aren’t required to broadcast anymore, nor does their broadcast turn on by itself. So the Pioneer System needed a way to motivate the Official Pioneers into broadcasting and using the System.”
“But why does the System want Official Pioneers in the first place?” Rodrick asks with a frown.
“The exact reason is unknown,” Alan answers with a shrug. “There are a lot of guesses for the answer all over the Alliance. Some say it’s to spread the System further into the universe, others say it’s to explore locations like the Abyss where records like videos and livestreams are impossible to take. No matter how many people of the Alliance guess, there isn’t any confirmed answer.”
“But…” Rodrick says, his eyes glued to Aqua’s screen.
“But?” Alan asks with a raised brow.
“Don’t you think Aqua will make for an incredible breakthrough in the Abyss?” Rodrick asks. “She’ll be the only Official Pioneer easily capable of traversing the Abyss thanks to her Bloodline. She might even be able to make it to the deepest layers of the Abyss.”
“That’s what everyone’s thinking these days,” Alan says with a nod of his head. “We’ll still have to wait until Aqua grows strong enough to fight in the Abyss. Right now she’s weaker than the weakest creatures in the Abyss. There’s no chance she would survive down there.”
“I guess you’re right about that,” Rodrick admits. “We just have to wait until she grows stronger.”
“Soooo, now that we’ve discussed the differences between Official and regular Pioneers…” Alan says, a grin beginning to stretch across his face. “How about we watch a recap of every one of the greatest and most memorable moments in Aqua’s career as a Pioneer?!”
“That sounds like a wonderful idea!” Rodrick exclaims as the screen behind them changes to show various different clips easily found all over the Alliance of Aqua. Whether they’re clips of her mining as the chat says #MinerAqua, clips of her facing powerful foes, or even clips of her just lazily lying down on top of large abyssal servants and humming to herself.
Any clip that is memorable enough appears one after another.
Even clips, trailers, promo videos, and promo art of her movies and tv shows appear on the screen.
Everything that has made Aqua famous across the entire Alliance. It all appears to show her journey from the moment she became a Bloodliner to when she finally became an Official Pioneer.
Alan and Rodrick begin to reminisce about the memories they’ve made covering her news over this time.
All while Aqua’s current broadcast continues to play in the background, with her still banning people spamming #MinerAqua. All the way until they stop doing it.
At least, they stop doing it while she’s watching.
And even that’s only because there’s no way for users to avoid the ban using the Pioneer System like they can in regular internet broadcasts. Since it directly bans them as a System user.
Making them unable to ever see her broadcast again.
Of course, since she is just a single person with a broadcast made up of trillions of people, Alan can’t see her ever winning the fight against the #MinerAqua spammers. But he finds it cute seeing her try.
She’ll need moderators before she can do that.
Alan blinks before smiling as he reminisces with Rodrick. Secretly making a plan for the near future that he doesn’t tell Rodrick or the viewers about.
Because, while Aqua has made him a lot of money through the news reports, he is also a genuine fan of Aqua.
And what more could a fan want than to become a moderator on their favorite broadcaster’s livestream?
So he goes ahead and sends an application to become a moderator of her livestream in secret. Completely unaware that Rodrick is currently doing the exact same thing as him.
All while the two continue reminiscing about Aqua’s broadcast without pausing in their own news report.

Aqua
I blink in surprise at the sheer number of applicants for the position of moderator. A number that easily breaks into the nine digits.
How exactly am I going to select all of these moderators…
I mean, I’m really thankful to have the ability to moderate my chat now, and to have moderators in general. But just how many moderators do these people expect me to have?
Although I understand some of it. Considering that I have trillions of viewers.
Still, it’s too many.
Should I select people at random?
That’s probably a bad idea.
Hmm.
I let out a yawn as I lazily lie in bed pondering one of the most important aspects of my current day. Completely putting off the matter of the spaceships all around the outside of the planet wanting to enter said planet.
Ah.
An idea comes to mind.
Right. This is what a manager should do.
I firmly nod my head at that thought before deciding to dump the problem onto my manager for the entertainment industry stuff.
Now to relax for a bit before dealing with anything else.
