NathanYear 2853 | Month 6 | Day 13
Quite a few things have happened across the Eternal Continents over the time I’ve been in seclusion. Including, but not limited to, the sharing of technology between our continents and the rest of the world, the sharing of spells and magic, and the introduction of Warriors as the three biggest changes coming from outside of the continents.
Thanks to these changes, the technology within the Eternal Continents has taken a massive leap forward. Bringing it closer to what the levels of technology are outside of our corner of the world. With numerous companies from the other continents rushing over to establish themselves and claim the market here.
I don’t particularly care what they do, though, so it’s fine with me.
The magicians have also become a lot quieter, without anywhere near as much focus on war or military anymore since the Eternal Continents are not at war with any nation. Giving all of the magicians plenty of time to just sit in their labs doing research.
This has also given the regular non-magicians a lot more freedom now that none of the nations are using them as fodder in war anymore. Not to mention that, since most of the magicians are locking themselves away to research, the non-magicians lives are a lot better.
Of course, I made sure to pass a few laws before going into seclusion to protect the rights of the non-magicians. If for no other reason than because my mother is a non-magician.
Well, to be fair, I also don’t like the idea of them being used as pawns and not even thought of as people by some magicians. It just bothers me.
But, laws or no laws, that doesn’t change how people think.
Plenty of magicians still don’t really see them as important or significant at all, while plenty of non-magicians are still afraid or at least warry of magicians.
Things have changed over the time during my seclusion, though. Specifically thanks to the Warriors being introduced into the Eternal Continents.
Thanks to a lot of non-magicians becoming Warriors, they’re beginning to grow less afraid and wary of the magicians. Meanwhile the magicians are starting to view the non-magicians in a new light after some of the more arrogant ones realize they might actually become threats.
Of course, not many can actually become Warriors. Considering how expensive the process is.
Every product used to enhance the strength of non-magicians costs a small fortune at the least. So most non-magicians can’t become magicians.
They just don’t have the money for it.
The non-magicians who are managing to become Warriors are enough to shift public opinion. And that’s what matters the most.
Apparently there’s even a non-magician bracket in the Arcane Crown tournament. Which has the non-magicians of the Eternal Continent excited.
On a side note, my popularity is quite high in the Eternal Continent. Both amongst the magicians and non-magicians.
The non-magicians see me as someone helping bring equality to the magicians and non-magicians, while the magicians see me as someone bringing new technology and magical advancements to the magical societies within the Eternal Continents.
So both sides are very happy with me.
And it’s not just because some fear me thanks to my immortality.
Although that probably helps keep the troublemakers in line.
Other than that, the general structure of the Eternal Continents under the rulership of the Eternal Tower has largely been formed at this point. With the various governing bodies of the different nations across the continents forming districts instead of their previous nations. All of which are under the rule of the Eternal Tower, and are unified as the Eternal Continents.
The governing bodies of the districts are pretty much the same governing bodies that governed them before. Just with them having a lot of people replaced to put in a new regime under my control, and having them take orders from me and the Eternal Tower.
Doing this has made the process a lot easier for my subordinates. And it just works better this way, since the previous governing bodies of each district know more about their territory and people than me or my subordinates know.
In a way, I pretty much made the governing bodies of each district governors under my employment.
As for my teachers?
They only show up every now and then to give tips if I need help. Otherwise, Adalwolf and Juan just kind of go off and explore the rest of the world on their own. Taking full advantage of their freedom and ability to leave the Eternal Continents.
Apparently neither of them particularly liked the Eternal Continents.
Adalwolf thanks to his extended length of time living here, and Juan because he was never really happy moving to the Abandoned Continents all those years ago in the first place.
But both of them are perfectly willing to come back if we ever need help. And that’s all that really matters to me.
I can also call them if I’m stuck in my research. Which hasn’t really happened yet.
Incendia flies through the window before landing on my shoulder as the black flames blaze from her body. But she doesn’t say anything. Just perches there and closes her eyes. Seemingly going to sleep.
I stroke her feathers a couple times before continuing to look at the reports.
Beyond those matters, there are the matters of various nations from across the planet requesting audiences with the governing bodies of each district. All in the hopes of eventually meeting me.
None of them directly requested to meet me, though, but a large part of that was because I have been in seclusion.
Now that I’m out of seclusion and officially am Class S, there will probably be even more important people requesting to meet with me.
Which will be annoying, but also something I was expecting.
I let out a sigh at that thought before continuing to read the reports.
Of which there are many beyond just the important affairs.
This might take a while.
