It's kinda ironic, but despite Void Crowne being my least popular Royal Road story in like three years, it will likely end up having the longest single book out of all of my series. Since book one of Void Crowne is already longer than most of my series book ones, and I'm still not close to finishing the book one.

Click on the following link for the 1433 word Chapter 66:

I can’t help but feel mildly disappointed after seeing one of my Assaults end in failure. Even if it managed to kill a good number of the shadow hunters fighting in it.

Fortunately, the other Assault I sent is still going. Although I won’t know about what’s happening in it until it breaks in a couple days.

The second Assault should be stronger than the first. Specifically because I threw two of my new elite monster into it as well.

The elite arachnid guards.

They should work well as bodyguards for the broodmother.

I can just imagine them hiding themselves away in the broodmother’s chamber before jumping down and assassinating some of the intruders. Dealing a huge blow in the process while putting the rest of them in disarray.

On that note, I used a cave biome for the first Assault, and a mineshaft for the second one. And I feel like the mineshaft might work better. Simply because my monsters work better through outnumbering the other planet’s users. Which is easier in a mineshaft, where the tunnels are all interconnected and easily allow flanking and the like. Not to mention with the tunnels being wider in general.

As for the mimics? I haven’t seen anything from the second Assault yet. Only that the first Assault failed miserably, and it didn’t have mimics.

At this rate, it might be hard to judge. Unless I just see the footage and find the mimics automatically doing well immediately.

That aside, I have learned through the first Assault here in this batch of two Assaults that my dungeons seem to all have rare equipment in the chests scattered through them. Which should prove to be a very good attraction for users to try to open the chests, mimics included.

So it might be a good idea after all to include mimics.

I’ll still have to wait for the second Assault to end for confirmation, though.

I have seen a few mimic monsters while going through dungeons myself, and they were pretty weak. But I might not be the best person to judge.

My voidlings did kind of just tear the poor mimics apart, after all.

It was a little sad to watch.

Doesn’t help that I’m making more and more voidlings by the day to bring with me into the dungeons.

Hooray for voidlings not counting for the user limit.

Except the ones recognized as users, that is.

Of course, I’ll still be able to bring the voidlings that count as users too. Even the ones I make. It’s just that I’ll have a limit on how many of them I will be able to bring.

I can just imagine the day where I go into some higher tier dungeon with an entire army of thousands of voidlings. That would be cool.

It’s too bad I can’t see the faces of the users who will be seeing me in their Assault footage.

Actually, I wish I could see the faces of the users who are probably currently seeing me in their Assault footage. Since I’ve already steamrolled quite a few dungeons.

I yawn at that thought before going ahead and sending another Assault. With this one being just like the mineshaft Assault.

Simply because the mineshaft one is still going, so that means it’s either better, or has a weaker force facing it.

Or both.

On a side note, I learned more about the blight from Seraphyne. Apparently, the blight is a very dangerous and yet also harmless disease in the wider universe.

The blight is a dangerous disease that makes people into zombie-like creatures that aren’t actually zombies or undead. Turning them into the blighted.

But it’s actually very easy to manage, and the higher someone’s level, the longer it takes to be turned. So all they have to do is take some general antidotes, and the blight will go back down in their body before being erased. Or they can take a single blight antidote and it’ll go away.

With the only exceptions being extremely high level blight carriers, like the blightlings and blighted broodmother, who are born to carry the blight. The blight inflicted by them spreads faster and is harder to cure.

It can still be cured, though. As long as it’s managed in the early to mid-stages.

There have been planets that were taken over by the blight in the earlier galaxies of the System. Specifically because the galaxies before them didn’t have anything to deal with them.

Their general antidotes didn’t have anything for the blight, and the blight antidotes weren’t developed yet. So the blight was dangerous to wipe out entire planets.

Nowadays, though, the general antidotes help cure blight, and there are antidotes made specifically for the blight. Making it so that people just have to either buy them through various means, get them from reward chests, or craft them personally. Then they can stop the blight from spreading.

Of course, that doesn’t mean the blight isn’t dangerous. It’s still incredibly dangerous, and is one of the more dangerous amongst the most favored warfare styles in the Multiversal Wars.

It just isn’t apocalyptic anymore.

I would say that I’m very lucky to get a blighted broodmother as my first boss, but I’m not actually that lucky. I am lucky, but just with the pick of boss.

The reward that gave me the blighted broodmother boss was default set to give one of the best early tier bosses possible, according to Seraphyne. And the blighted broodmother was just one of them.

Anyway, I can go spend more Event Points after the first mineshaft dungeon is finished. For now I have a couple matters at hand to deal with.

One of which being the notification glowing in my vision right now.

◊ Congratulations! It has now been six days since the planet known as Gaia has entered the Multiversal Wars! ◊

◊ The first meeting of the World Council will be called tomorrow, on the seventh day of the war. This meeting will include the top ten thousand City Lords on the Cluster-Wide Leaderboards, the top one hundred users on the Individual Combat Strength Cluster-Wide Sub-Leaderboard. All of these users and City Lords shall have a single vote on the World Council, plus additional votes for their personal placement on the Cluster-Wide and Galaxy-Wide Leaderboards. ◊

◊ This meeting shall occur at midnight tomorrow, and all those invited amongst the top one hundred City Lords on the Cluster-Wide Leaderboards may bring advisors to help assist them during the World Council. ◊

◊ Be prepared, for the first impression on your peers is important, and the election for World Leader is only two weeks away! ◊

The message is located in the very corner of my vision, with a countdown next to it that is set to reach zero the moment tomorrow at midnight arrives. And most of it isn’t all that surprising. The System already mentioned the World Council, and so did Ali’s Guide, along with Seraphyne.

What is a little surprising, though, is the fact that Leaderboards ranking actually affects the number of votes you have on the World Council.

I wonder just how many votes I’ll have? What with my current ranking on the leaderboards.

Probably a lot.

Anyway, I’ll go ahead and bring Rex with me as my advisor. Even though he will technically be invited himself, I know he’ll just want to go with me. It’s how the voidlings work.

Well, except for me. Void Crownes aren’t considered within the hierarchy. We’re above it.

Which is good, otherwise I’d have to worry about being forced to obey Seraphyne or something like that.

It is kind of ironic that the Void Crownes are only technically half voidling in a way. Since the original Void Crowne was created through the universe and System working alongside the void. More like a natural phenomenon than a born species.

The same as the other Unique Lifeforms. The natural phenomenon part, I mean.

In a certain sense, the Unique Lifeforms are kind of like beings created by their natural laws of reality in order to rule over a certain species or type of being. All by taking full advantage of the System and its help to do so.

I can’t help but find these little bits of lore interesting to hear about.

Plus it means I serve nobody, so there’s that too.

I turn my attention to the second matter I have to deal with.

The labyrinth, and its own leaderboard.

Because I kind of forgot about them both.

Royal Road readers are dumb. This story is amazing!

WolfWrites

Part of it is just that Void Crowne is written a lot more for Amazon reader tastes rather than Royal Road readers. And part of it is that the part of the story on Amazon hasn't gotten to the main part of the story yet. It's still in the tutorial.

Jake Rands

Fair, but the tutorial was still really good

WolfWrites

I should be able to see soon if that is the main reason it's not as successful on RR. Since the next Royal Road chapter should be when he beats the final boss of the Tutorial. So the main part of the story will begin soon on Royal Road.

Jake Rands

Oh, hopefully that makes people on there happier
