Aidan

Hmm. Well, that took a lot longer than the last dungeon, but they still completed it.

What a shame.

I was kind of hoping this dungeon would break since it was taking so long for anyone to clear.

Although, the dungeon did give me a good idea of the difference between these dungeons. Specifically with how well these mimics seem to be doing.

I watch the recording while my voidlings slaughter their way through the monsters of the Labyrinth. And the result is at least satisfying.

Every single mimic was fought, and they always took down at least one user in the process. Which makes them very useful.

Especially since these users in particular seem to be stronger users too. Judging by their level, along with the level of the first users – the tigerkin – who attempted my first dungeon.

It looks like mimics are actually a pretty good strategy after all. So I should keep putting them in the dungeons.

On another note, the arachnids did a pretty good job of defending the broodmother till the end as well. Even if they eventually fell, they still took out over half of the dwarves’ numbers.

Including the first attempt at the dungeon, the dwarves lost over thirty-five users. All of whom were pretty high level.

Interestingly enough, the dwarves were actually doing pretty well during their second attempt.

Until they reached the hall where the broodmother was, and the arachnids descended upon them with numerous assassinations while they were fighting the broodmother, blightlings, and elite void golems. Proving to be far too overwhelming at once for them to maintain their prior success.

They still managed to win in the end, but not without tremendous losses.

Overall, I’d say this test result turned out quite well. Especially compared to the shadow hunters.

It looks like the mineshaft really is better, along with the mimics.

Of course, this type of dungeon Assault also costs more War Points. But I’m practically printing out War Points now that I’ve been slaughtering my way through the Labyrinth. Not to mention that the Auction House has seen quite a lot of business recently too.

Lots of users going there to buy and sell items found in dungeons.

Which works out very well for me. The more items on the market, the more will be bought and sold in my Auction House, and the more War Points I receive.

And amidst this rather happy feeling as I send another Assault using this influx of War Points – one that is very similar to the previous two I last sent, with the mineshaft biome and the same composition of monsters – my mood comes crashing down at the appearance of an Achievement.

◊Cluster-Wide Achievement◊

Users Snapjaw the First has become the first user in the Gaia Cluster to clear the Bronze Tier Section of their Labyrinth. Therefore, he receives the Labyrinth Pioneer Title and an Epic Rarity Loot Box for his Cluster-Wide Achievement.

◊Cluster-Wide Achievement◊

I eventually close my mouth again while feeling more than a little disappointed. Then I continue pushing through the last few floors of the Silver Tier section of my Labyrinth before going back to the surface upon unlocking access to the Silver Tier section through the portal.

Well, I still brough my level quite a bit up during this.

Some satisfaction returns at the sight of all the messages I finally let pass now that I’m out of the Labyrinth.

If it weren’t for the Silver Tier section of the Labyrinth being locked to Silver Tier users, I would’ve already entered it just to try and push to Silver Tier myself. Since I know there’s an Achievement for being the first to reach Silver Tier.

And this one is a Galaxy-Wide Achievement.

Of course, even if I did somehow manage to push into the Silver Tier section, I might not get far anyway. Not until after I’m Silver Tier myself.

The Silver Tier section of the Labyrinth is when things begin to change. By quite a bit at that.

I frown at that thought before shaking my head and immediately moving towards the leaderboards to take a look. Only to grit my teeth at the sight that greets me.

Some users haven’t entered the Labyrinth again since before I entered this time, but some have. And I just barely missed the achievement.

Damnit.

I let out a sigh at this result before shaking my head.

Whatever. At least it was Snapjaw who got the Achievement and not the Orc King.

If the Orc King had gotten the Achievement, that would’ve been bad. Since it would push him further up in power, and it would mean his level would be higher as well. Since just clearing the Labyrinth floors gives a lot of source mana.

I narrow my eyes at the countdown before looking at my current level. Which is sitting at level seventy-one.

There’s no way for me to bring it to level seventy-six in just an hour and forty-one minutes through killing monsters. But there is one way to potentially bring it up fast enough that has nothing to do with killing monsters.

With that thought, I hurry over to the Auction House while ordering the voidlings to buy up every System Item they can find within a certain budget and send them to me right away.

The fact that someone from our Cluster who was at the bottom of the top ten in the Galaxy-Wide Tutorial Leaderboard, and isn’t even on the regular weekly Galaxy-Wide Leaderboards has cleared the Bronze Tier section of the Labyrinth means others around the galaxy no doubt have too. It’s just ridiculous to think otherwise. And if others have cleared that far ahead already, there’s no doubt several of them at the minimum are near Silver Tier.

I will not let anyone steal this Achievement away from me like the Cluster-Wide one!

If I can’t level up fast enough through monster hunting, then I will burn War Points to get there. Even if it costs me thousands of War Points to do so.

A potential Unique Loot Box, or even Legendary Loot Box, is more than worth it.

So, without any hesitation whatsoever, I immediately begin devouring items one after another as the voidlings of my city bring them to me.

Pushing my level up in the process.
