NathanYear 2853 | Month 6 | Day 14

I silently watch as the delegates from both the nations of Arcfall and Reinfall argue right at the bottom of the dais in my audience hall. Both of which are major nations who are amongst the most powerful nations not in the Alliance.

Of course, they’re still a good bit weaker than the nations in the Alliance, but they are still stronger than most of the other nations on the planet. And that’s saying something.

What makes this situation awkward is that I was in the middle of discussions with Arcfall when Reinfall learned about it and requested to join the audience. Then they just started arguing with Arcfall, briefly making me wonder if they somehow forgot I’m even here.

Based on the intel I was briefed on about these two nations, they are at war, and have been at war for a while now. With permission from the Alliance, of course.

They were also fighting between their Class S magicians during this war, just like the ones who caused the sea monster outbreak. It’s just that they pulled the scale of their battles back to protect reality.

In fact, after the sea monster outbreak incident, they haven’t had many Class S battles. No doubt due to worrying that they may cause a similar incident.

Which brings me to their goal with their meeting here.

Arcfall came wishing to establish diplomatic ties and to request my use of space magic to stabilize a region so that they could conduct an ambush against Reinfall’s Class S magician without having to worry about damaging reality. Which I never even thought about as a possibility.

That I could use space mana directly to protect reality around a Class S battle.

It’s an interesting idea, and not something that’s entirely new. There are magi-tech devices that do the same out there.

The only problem with those is that they are expensive as hell, and impossible for them to make more.

Or, rather, impossible until I showed up. Since there weren’t any other space affinity magicians currently alive before me.

There were some in the past, but they died a while before I showed up.

Thanks to how rare and expensive the devices are, they’re only used in certain stadiums. Specifically for either solving disputes between Class S magicians in bigger nations or in Magic Towers, or for tournaments. Like the tournament that will be held soon.

Otherwise it wouldn’t be possible for Class S magicians to compete in these competitions.

It would be too dangerous for anyone around them.

I tap my finger on my throne in thought as more than a few business ideas come to mind for how I can take advantage of this.

If I can just figure out how to make these devices myself, I could probably make a fortune. And it would also increase the safety of reality itself at the same time.

A total win-win situation, in my humble opinion.

Anyway, in regard to this current situation…

“-report to the Alliance’s Intermediary Council about-” the representative from Reinfall continues blabbering on before I raise a hand and activate a spell to make a spatial seal appear in front of their mouths. Blocking any of their words from going out.

They all notice immediately, as they should, before turning startled gazes towards me. But I don’t care as I declare, “Once I have developed a spell for this purpose, I will make a trip to your countries, where I will use the spell to stabilize a portion of land for your Class S magicians to fight. I will not favor any one side, however, so be warned that attempts to sway me towards one side will be revealed to the other side immediately.”

This is a simple matter to deal with. I mostly just want them to stop arguing in my audience hall as if I’m not here.

Just how much do these two nations hate each other for them to straight up forget me?

It’s kind of ridiculous.

Both of their head delegates seem to realize their folly after focusing on me before they rush to apologize. But I just wave my hand and state, “This matter is dealt with. Speak if there are any further matters.”

My patience for these idiots is almost gone at this point. Both because of their actions, and because of the sheer number of delegations I’ve had to deal with today and yesterday.

Although it’s mostly the latter.

Their idiocy was at least amusing at the start. Until they completely forgot about me in my own audience hall.

After that, the two delegations begin negotiating for diplomatic ties, offering gifts and congratulations on my ascension to Class S. Which they had technically already done, but I’m guessing doing it again like this is to serve as an apology for what happened earlier.

And I’m fine with it, considering that they’re giving a fortune as their gifts.

Millions of Alliance Credits each.

As for the exact specifics of the diplomatic ties? I leave that to Claire to figure out. And after a while of discussion, the two groups of delegates finally leave my Tower, with them beginning to argue again the moment they step outside of the building.

Not that their squabbling matters to me when I have more delegates arriving after them.

I let out a sigh as I strongly wish to go back to my seclusion now.

Unfortunately, I’m not strong enough quite yet to ignore all of these nations. Maybe in the future I will be, but right now I’m not. And even if I was strong enough to ignore them, my nation isn’t.

So here I am, stuck listening to diplomats chatter away while complimenting me all day long.

Fortunately, tomorrow should be the last day of this round of diplomats. According to Claire, at least.

And tomorrow’s round only has four different groups in it.

The three nations of the Alliance and the Magic Towers.

I glance up at the ceiling as I genuinely hope they won’t take as much time with their discussions.

Here’s hoping I can get back to my experiments soon…
