Ashley

I feel mentally exhausted as the battle continues. To the point that it begins to be difficult just to think clearly.

Sometimes I completely fail to take advantage of an opening in the battle thanks to it. And this is with me healing slowly over time.

On top of my slower mind, blank spots begin to appear in my thoughts where my thoughts just freeze up.

I grit my teeth as I continue to attack the Void God, who currently looks riddled with holes, spots covered in frostbite, and is missing large chunks of its enormous eyes by now.

We repeatedly trade blow after blow, with my attacks coming in waves between my bouts of consciousness, and its attacks coming continuously. With the exception of some especially powerful waves.

At the same time, my attacks target the Void God’s body, while the Void God’s attacks target my mind. Leaving the Void God’s mind perfectly fine – not that the Void God had a very stable mind to begin with – and my body in perfect shape.

Our battle continues for hours on end. With the Void God gradually losing large chunks of its body, and me having more and more mental blackouts.

What’s worse is that the black fog from the totems is hurting the Void God, but it doesn’t seem to be doing much actual damage. All it’s doing is disrupting its attacks, making them less powerful and less frequent.

Then again, it’s hard to tell when it comes to mental attacks. I don’t really have a grasp on them yet.

When I begin to feel my mind beginning to slip a bit, I take a deep breath before rushing straight up to the Void God. Right into the range of its worst mental attacks. And, while gritting my teeth through the pain, I rush straight inside of the Void God’s body. Into a massive wound.

Chaotic Source flashes numerous times, redirecting the True Damage to the Void God at a rapid pace as I enter its body. Although I’m not sure if it’s actually doing that or not. But I don’t pay the messages any mind right now.

Because the damage I can do inside of the Void God is far more important right now if I want to win.

I can tell that my mind is going to go out before I can kill the Void God if I keep doing what I’ve been doing. So I have to take risks to win.

There’s no other choice.

I push through the pain from the regular mental attacks as the True Damage ones are redirected and I begin spreading a terrifying chill through the Void God’s body as I move. Freezing absolutely everything as I pass through and dig further into the Void God’s body.

A loud screech echoes throughout the Void God’s body as it writhes around in an attempt to knock me out of it. But even that begins to decrease over time. No doubt as frostbite sets in and it grows numb.

At least, it decreases until I start blasting destruction energy through its body and enhance the amount of energy in my Gaze of Destruction. Then the Void God’s screeches grow louder again. And its mental attacks increase in intensity as well.

My mind blanks when some particularly powerful mental attacks arrive. Only to return several seconds later with some minor memory issues as I struggle to remember when I entered the Void God’s body.

I grit my teeth while holding my head with a single hand and sweeping my other horizontally to spread Eternal Snow in front of me.

The ice and snow continues to spread across the Void God’s body more and more before a powerful mental attack arrives, and I blank out for an unknown amount of time. Only to recover with my mind filled with confusion about where I’m even at.

I can’t help but frown as I look around myself at the frozen walls. And at my own attacks.

What am I doing right now?

I hold my head as I try to remember, but it doesn’t come back to me again until I feel a mental attack striking my mind and I hear a screech. At which point I remember where I’m at.

Without hesitation, I rush to attack the Void God from the inside some more.

More mental attacks arrive, with them lessening a little in severity. But I don’t decrease the amount of damage I deal with my own attacks.

I just dig through the Void God’s body, deeper and deeper. All in search of important organs.

At the same time, more and more black fog fills the inside of the Void God’s body, and I occasionally find myself losing my memory and regaining it again.

One bright side about the black fog is that it’s a pretty good reminder about where I’m at.

Eventually I manage to dig my way into a large chamber within the Void God’s body. Where I find a strange spherical core identical to the core item I have on my person.

I feel my lips beginning to quirk upwards at the sight of what is most likely the main source of the Void God’s power.

Then everything goes blank when a loud screech echoes out and the core itself emits massive amounts of black fog along with a flood of other mental attacks. And when I regain consciousness, I feel extremely confused about where I’m at.

What is this…

My thoughts are interrupted when the strange core in front of me begins to blast out attacks.

I hurriedly send out my own attacks, cracking the strange core thing in the process. But the attacks from the core still manage to hit me regardless of my attempts to defend against them. And numerous System Messages flood my vision reminding me where I’m at.

Just seconds after remembering, the flood of attacks makes my mind go blank again.

When I regain consciousness, I feel extremely confused. Because all I hear is loud screeching with a flood of System Messages from Chaotic Source.

It doesn’t take me very long to figure out what’s happening thanks to those messages, but it takes longer than it normally would. I’m not quite sure why.

Unless I’ve already taken a lot of mental damage?

My confusion grows, but I ignore it to build up as much Eternal Snow as possible. Meanwhile I sense the Unique Monster whose body I’m in building up a massive amount of void energy. Far more energy than anything I’ve faced before.

I grit my teeth through the splitting pain in my head before making sure Assimilate is active and unleashing all of the Eternal Snow I manage to build up. Sending an enormous wave of ice and snow all around me to freeze absolutely everything.

At the same time, a powerful wave of black fog filled with numerous mental attacks of all sorts rushes at me.

Then I hear a shattering sound, my mind goes completely blank, and I lose consciousness entirely.
