So if the monarchs are supposed to be about the level of the luktar clan leaders (ie, 400), that would mean their total lifespan would only be ~1,600 years. So they couldn’t be thousands of years old. (100->200->400->800->1600)

In the last chap (49) it says they’re about the same level as the luktar clan leaders, who (unless the two we know are outliers at a lower level) are around lvl 400, hence my confusion.

No. It says they should be about the same level. That was her random guess. Not a factual statement she was making. She learns their actual level in the next chapter. It also explains why they're a higher level. Just read the chapter.

I'm curious, where did the 11 companies originate from? Did the current queen also have 8 siblings? And her mother/father as well? Grandparents? How far back does their dynasty go vs how far back do the royal mercenary companies and their number go? If there were siblings, what happened to them? Or were the current queen and king managing all 11 companies before the first princess was born? And the current queen's parents before them?

I'm really intrigued by the naming of the princes and princesses. It makes sense that the last name of their father is taking place in the middle, but each of their last names is unique! Almost like a second name.
