-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second chapter of the day for Crimson Eternal is canceled on account of not having the time to write it and feeling a touch under the weather.

On another note though, I decided to go ahead and enable ratings again on Crimson Eternal just to peek at the scores and it's honestly gotten to the point that it's comical. It's genuinely hilarious now instead of upsetting me how bad the advanced scores have gotten simply because of the MC being immortal.

It's gotten so bad that Crimson Eternal has about a 2 star average rating for style and character because of the immortal MC. But the comical part is that the overall average rating for the story is still 4.54 despite that.

Of course, I hid ratings again after that because I don't want to see it even if it's hilarious.

And it's not affecting the follower growth for Crimson Eternal, which has actually exploded recently. To the point that it'll probably catch up with Reaper's Resurgence in followers within a few months.

Probably because the Luk'tar arc hit Royal Road and you all loved the story more after that point from what I can tell. Where it focuses on her travels through worlds.

Putting that aside for the moment though, the average ratings for Wolf of the Blood Moon on Amazon are far better than they are on Royal Road. They're at 4.8 stars average on Amazon compared to about 4.44 stars average on Royal Road.

And the last thing I wanted to mention is that Crimson Eternal has actually almost caught up with Reaper's Resurgence in content written, so... that's interesting. Mostly because of the longer chapters despite having the same number of chapters daily when first starting the series.

Anyways, click here for chapter 4! It is 1508 words long!

Thanks for the Chapter

Thanks for the chapter! The idea of death spirits just hiding in all the dark places of the palace is kind of hilarious. I know that's not happening, since this is the royal court, but I just imagine a group of children playing hide-and-seek and accidentally stumbling upon death spirits :D

Ignore the haters. Those kinds of people are the ones who just want something to complain about. It’s like giving an isekai book a bad review because you don’t like isekai. If people don’t like one of the hallmarks of the book they just shouldn’t read it and let the rest of us enjoy it in peace

Im with you on the immortal thing, i don’t understand that discussion at all. Back when I first joined Royal Road in 2015 I used to look for stories with immortals, but they were very hard to find. To this day, I remember two stories, where the protagonist would go through worlds exploring and adventuring. It was very fun but unfortunately, the authors never did finish them.

Thanks for the chapter, really enjoying the story. I find the her being immortal really interesting.

Aeonstorm

I’m curious about her life drain and soul fire skills. It seems that her soul fire has a lot of untapped potential and I’m looking forward to her training and exploring all her skills for the possibility of them been upgraded when she levels up.

My favorite part of this story is the immortality of the MC. A few stories I have read have sections where decades pass but people act as of its only been a few months. Here decades are passing, things are changing and people act like lots of time has passed, except the MC doesn't get that feeling. She still has this feeling of being outside the normal passage of time, which to me makes her immortality feel more tangible.

I just wanted to throw this out there, as there is the possibility of conflating the words intension and intention, and I thought I'd share the definitions as it seems you've used "intension" previously - both in this chapter and others - where "intention" would be more appropriate. *in·ten·sion* /inˈtenSHən/ noun 1. LOGIC the internal content of a concept. 2. ARCHAIC resolution or determination. *in·ten·tion* /inˈten(t)SHən/ noun 1. a thing intended; an aim or plan. "she was full of good intentions"
