Critical Role- Sir Julien Davinos (Patreon)

So I kinda think that Sir Julien might be one of my faves from the new Critical Role crew, though Wicander and Thimble are also incredible. And Vaelus... TBH all of the characters are so awesome, I can't imagine how they are gonna juggle all of these characters lol

I actually have a few other pieces (Tyranny and Occtis) in the works, but honestly I definitely was feeling pressured to head in more of a stylized direction due to the character art. In reality, I really prefer to have more realism based reference for characters so the gorgeous official art was kind of tormenting me haha.

I have decided I'm just going to have fun with creating my own (as close to their features as I can get) take on the new Critical Role gang and just take the official reference as a basic guideline mainly for features and outfits. I really want to give Thimble a bit more of a Holly Black-esque edgier kick when I get to painting her in particular.

So this is my take on Sir Julien, Matt Mercer's character. Absolute meanie, love this character already. I'm so stupidly weak for any character with a knight vibe, evil or not. Jaime Lannister altered my brain chemistry. Anyway,
