Hey guys!! Here is the completed Astarion piece from the WIP last week!! Reminder that print club can be joined for the desigated month until the last day of that month! So for this one you can join until June 30th!

I'm really pleased with how this one ended up- I am trying to keep my brushstrokes a bit more organic these days (an exercise to fight my "perfectionism" - AKA obsessing over things being clean and tidy)

I was very doubtful at first about the book because I do not trust WotC at all with these characters *stares at Astarion’s book of hungers* but the author is great and the little she’s said online about the book gives me hope (ie it’s not going to be happy)

I love this one so much! The coloring and the lighting are absolutely perfect and haunting (in a good way!) I'm so excited for the Astarion novel/audiobook! It'll prob be really traumatizing, but Neil's voice will make it better 🤣

Thank you!! It's so hard, and a bad habit to kick too. I love expressive art but it's SO not effortless like it looks to say the least lol. Good luck to you too! I find the greatest asset is to really try not to care too much about the little details.

Thank you!!! I wanted the piece to feel more vulnerable than "sexy," which is part of why I chose an upside down pose. I feel like they are a little disorienting but it helps sell a mood more since you can't be too caught up in the minutia when viewing it. I'm definitely listening to the audiobook!!!!!

This is beautiful 😍 and yes I am very excited for the book, not sure what to expect but I'm just excited for more Astation tbh.

I'll be honest I did not look too much at that book (it's an adventure, right?) because I'd heard iffy things about it. I am cautiously optimistic as well, I don't want to get too excited. Sometimes tie in novels don't quite hit the mark. But I really hope this one does!!!

Thank you!!! Yes, I'm in the same boat. I hope it's a great insight into more of his character and history. I think that the whole situation with his spawn siblings and Cazador really deserve more fleshing out! We'll see!!

agree that it's such a bad habit! I have to actively remind myself that im not trying to make a perfectly real picture and details being implied has the same effect as them being painstakingly rendered. like you said art is about expression! what an obvious thing that we forget when it comes to ourselves. it's a journey!

Thank you so so much!!! Interesting input, I definitely think that if I were an author approached with this job I would bury my head in the sand after it releases for maybe 2 years to let everything blow over since I'm sure it's gonna be a doozy no matter how well handled. I hope it is an excellent novel but I also hope people above all are kind to the author. ♥
