"Saint" Tapestry illustration (Patreon)

Helllooo everyone!! I finished it! Holy moly was this an undertaking. I've sent the piece in for a sample to be woven by the manufacturer (they are located in the US, so hopefully won't be long!)

I did my best to study art of the time period around when Coen's story takes place, and also tried to incorporate some decorative bits from a few Romanian pieces I could find. Ultimately though I tried not to get too in the weeds with historical accuracy or I would have ended up mixing up my own egg white paints or something.

Interesting fact, I had a LOT of difficulty finding references of skeletons in medieval art. Until I realized that probably very few people had reference available of a fully articulated skeleton at the time. They look WEIRD! It's wonderful.

So I decided to create some horrible little critters based a bit on the skeletons in the loading screens of the game.

I was originally going to have a scroll with the Latin phrase on Coen's sword on the bottom, but I know for a fact that it will not be super legible in the woven form, to decided to leave it out.

Anyways, thank you guys so much and I hope you like the piece!! I have the sticker for this month's print club ready and ordered, and have begun sketching ideas for the prints.
