I had started and stopped working on a pre-vampirism Astarion a little while back, but dropped it because I didn't love it. I saw some posts on Twitter talking about what he might have looked like, and I've been writing a fanfic about my BG3 character with Astarion, and have headcanoned him as a Sun Elf. I feel like he has the personality for it, and I'm a sucker for white and gold. I've had the description I wrote for him floating around in my head and decided to just finish the dang thing.

Anyways, I thought this might have been a portrait framed in his family's estate, wherever they may be. Locked away in a room where his mother and father don't have to look at it and weep for the loss of their young son. Angst and all that~
