It’s so interesting to see how differently people project their fears and realizations into birthday wishes.

I just turned 30 — and honestly, I feel wonderful. Yet for some, this number seems to carry unease… Some think of aging, some of lost health or youth, some of things they haven’t done yet.

And it all starts at thirty? Is thirty really the age when people begin to worry about getting older — start rushing, trying to accomplish everything they didn’t manage to do before thirty, as if it’s some kind of deadline? As if it’s almost the end?

But it’s not the end at all :) There are still, statistically speaking, at least another 40–50 years ahead (hopefully even more). I won’t say this number stirs no emotions — it does sound grand, it feels solid.

To me, this number stands for becoming: becoming myself, shaping my worldview, seeing who I am and how I exist in this life. And that feels beautiful.

Some people joke about it — welcoming you to the “30+ club”. Others say things like “not all is lost” or “everything’s still ahead”, as if trying to comfort you.

But some just take it as what it is — life. Life that moves, changes, expands. Another year of awareness, of new people, new hugs, new journeys, new joys and even new sorrows — just another year of this incredible miracle we call being alive.

The 30’s are incomprehensibly better than the 20’s… prepare thyself, and welcome, padowan 🙏🏼
