Thank you everyone for all the congratulations on the progress with our visa process)

I’m wrapping up my very short stay in Barcelona, and tomorrow I continue my journey to Kyiv.

And… a lot has changed in a very short amount of time.

Main update - things are not going to be as fast as we thought.

Looks like I’ll need to stay in Ukraine for about a month and a half to get everything done.

Also, I didn’t really get to rest in Barcelona or recover from jet lag… because on my way to the airport I suddenly realized that for the interview I need police clearance certificates from every country where I’ve lived for more than 6 months))))

And yes, Spain is one of them.

If you’ve ever dealt with Spanish bureaucracy - you already feel my pain.

People here love to rest.And they really love appointments.

To get any document, you need to book a meeting.To book a meeting, you need patience.And if you want to do it online - congratulations, that only works if you actually live here.

So instead of peacefully recovering from jet lag, seeing friends, and shooting a lot - I spent most of my time stressed, slightly panicking, and trying to figure out how to get this damn document.

But.

Mission completed.

I’m extremely happy.And extremely exhausted.

And rest is… not coming anytime soon.

But I really hope that being back home - surrounded by close people, my language, familiar places - will make it all feel a bit softer.
