I’m writing this in a bit of a rush, no big deep thoughts yet, just something I want to share.
A month with my sister just came to an end. Yesterday I put her on a plane back home. And I realized something very simple and very uncomfortable.
How much I miss having my people around me here. My friends. My family. How calm I feel when they’re near. And how not calm I feel without them. I’m incredibly grateful to my fiancé - he’s the only person here right now with whom I feel safe and grounded. But somehow… it’s not enough. And it feels strange to even say that. Like my world became a bit too small. A bit too limited. But I don’t see it as something bad, more like something I need to understand and work through. Something I want to change in the near future.
At the same time, this month with my sister was beautiful. Honestly, much better than I expected. I felt a kind of closeness with her that we haven’t had in a very long time. Maybe even ever. And I’m really, really grateful we had this time. I hope next time it won’t be just her, but also my mom and dad.
So now - one more week in Mexico City ahead.
A couple of shoots.
Working with models.
A shoot with a photographer.
A concert at the pyramids.
Trying on wedding dresses.
And then going back home to Cabo.
